Perfect, no matter what? Do you feel like you did everything right, down to the BM dresses and flowers? I know even though I didn't have a church program like many brides and fancy Rehearsal Dinner invitations, I still think that everything was perfect and beautiful, no matter what! If I could do it again, I wouldn't change a thing! Does anyone feel the same way I do? I am just curious. If you would change somethings, please explain.

Re: Was your wedding...
I would've done a few things differently. I would've booked different vendors for my limo and flowers!! I would've tried harder to find a church to do my ceremony cuz the CH ran longer than we had planned since the hall only had one room big enough for us to do both in and needed set up time.
But overall I loved my day and we remember our wedding as being beautiful

I voted for 'change everything' because there were more than a 'few' things that I would change.
But, I guess change 'everything' isn't true...

If I had to do everything ALL over again, I would not have changed a thing. Even with my dress and hair drama, I found out who my true friends are...who really loves me...who wanted to be there. That's priceless...seeing grace under pressure is a rare thing and I'm glad I was able to.
Edited because I meant to write 'I wouldn't have'...Freudian slip maybe?

Re: Was your wedding...
My day was fantastic..BUT...if I could I would change:
two of my vendors without a doubt
the person who colored my hair (not the girl I used the day of)

Yeah, I did too. I found out who my true friends are too. One of my bridesmaid, since the day I had asked her to be my BM was never around, sometimes, I wish I didn't ask her. She still doesn't call me. We were close when I asked her (we got engaged two and a half years before). I made the mistake of asking her to be in the BP. I wish I could take that back. Also, two of my best friends showed up two hours late to my Bachlorette party and then it was over an hour and a half later. Not to mention, two left early, I only had seven girls show up and my sisters were 'too busy' to come! I was upset to say the least. I found out later the ones that came late or left early didn't want to go to the places we went!??? We took a train into the city to a Male Review and The Culture Club and almost all my friends but one complained that the price of the train was too expensive. Only two of them bought me a drink the whole night . My real complaint was the Bachlorette party. We had fun, but almost everyone was too stingy or complained about something before and during the party. Overall it was ok, but I had better things in mind. I didn't expect to go to Vegas or anything, but just a fun night without the complaints before, after and during!

Yes and no. Possibly one of my vendors. And I, too, did not do some of the traditional things. We had no rehearsal dinner invitations (very small, we used word of mouth), no STDs (same), no cry packs, photo montages, etc. Some of these things would have been nice, but we were trying to keep costs down, and keep ourselves as sane as possible by cutting things we didn't feel strongly about including. If we really wanted it, we had it, but we didn't choose many things because that's the way everyone does a wedding.
To make a long story short, we had a great day, and other than the vendor, I would not change a single thing!

I totally agree with you. We didn't have alot of the extras either, we were also trying to keep the costs down. The only thing we did have was the Photo Montage and Calligraphy on the invitations and the place cards, but that is about it. I also didn't want to drive myself crazy with one more thing to organize or worry about.

My wedding was Perfect, yet I feel a few minor details could have made it more perfect- nothing major- I will still always look at my day as perfection!

I would only change a few things.
I agree with the true friends thing. I love my family and his cause they truly had patience with us.

I still feel partly responsible for recommending the co. and hope they fired that driver!
I would have booked a much better florist. That was the biggest major decision I regret. The little things were no sweat

Re: Was your wedding...
There are a few things that I easily would have changed. First one...I would have wanted my Grandma NOT to miss my ceremony (which she did, darned it LI traffic!)That was obviously the big thing (since she's the only grandparent btwn DH and I)
The only other thing that I'm really would like to have changed was the color 'peach' flower the florist used in my BM bouquets. I really wanted something bright and vibrant, and still feel like I got light pink. The bouquets were still beautiful, but orange is my signature color...and I just feel....cheated. Silly, but two of the material things I love most in life are: flowers and most things orange! lol

Re: Was your wedding...
I think everything was beautiful and perfect in its own way - and I loved every minute so I wouldnt change anything.
But thats not to say I did everything perfectly. There were definitely a few bad decisions (hated my florist for example) but I dont think anything is ever really perfect.

Re: Was your wedding...
I was really pleased with how our wedding came off, but of course, with hindsight, there are a couple of small things I would have changed. I would not have changed any of my vendors, however.

Re: Was your wedding...
I would have changed ... My hair ( I should have spent more money), My timeline ( I felt rushed to take lots of pictures), I would have made a must take photo list (don't get me wrong... love my photos but there are a few i would have liked, we got very pressed for time with outside shots because we were racing against a massive rain storm), I would have put someone other than my aunt in charge of bringing the DVD player for the kiddies, she forgot... I must have nagged her a million times about this. It would have been useful (I have a disabled family member that freaked about the DJ noise and would have been much more calm if she could watch some disney movies).
I forgot a lot of stuff. Like bringing an invitation to the photog for a picture. My caketopper...
But those are minor things. Over all I am thrilled with the day but those things just nag me all the time! How stupid is that?
BUT THE BIGGEST THING I WOULD CHANGE IS... I would have hired a video person. I was cheap and didn't. I just should have splurged and got it!!!!!!!!!!! This make me soo sad all the time!

Re: Was your wedding...
I would love to say that I'd change nothing. But that would be a lie. I did love the day. We had so much fun. Our guests were happy and didn't even notice any of the things 'in my head' that should have been different or went wrong.
With more time, I've noticed, I have a bit more perspective. The first 3 months after the wedding, was probably the hardest for me. I was really sad over not planning, and I kept replaying all the things that could have been different. I obsessed alot. I wanted to change so many things, or do them differently, but obviously...can't do that!
Now...not so much. There were things. But those things also made our day what it was. And in my heart - it was perfect! I married the man I love. I'm his wife. I love being a wife! I love our stronger connection and bond. The details - are just details. No one is going to remember that I didn't reapply my lipstick. Or that my cake topper wasn't on my cake. The love and the meaning of the day and having all the people who loved us there - that's what made our day! That's what we'll remember.
