one carat of f color stones in a platinum prong setting ---$1,700
what do you think?
what was the cost of your wedding band?

Its a 1 carat diamond or its multiple diamonds that add up to a carat? $1700 sound way too low for the single stone.

mine is 5 stones (tw 1.25) color F VVS and was $5500...we bought for $2200

I dont know how its figured. The one I wanted was $7K but one that was similiar in Fortuneoff was $2K and Ive seen others in places like Zales for less than $1K. They all seem the same to me (although Im sure the stones are different) but Im sure there are a lot of factors that go into the pricing.

You might want to shop around and see what the prices are elsewhere.

it does sound good. I have 7 stones; 4 baguettes and 3 round stones, all f color, VVS, totalling 1.37 and it was $2500 (i got it less, my jeweler is wholesale)

edited to add: what's their clarity?
