Wedding pictures...
Do you sometimes go thorugh them and think you didnt get enough wow shots? People see my pics and say they are pretty and like them because the red BM dresses make the pics pop but some days I love them and some days I dont..does this ever happen to any of you? Is this another phase of the blues some of us are having?

I feel the same way, getting married in the winter really limited our shots. But when I think back, I don't think I would change the day one bit, except maybe find a location to go to and get a new photographer!! But in all honesty, I got so many pics besides the ones the photographer took, that I think I have every minute of my wedding captured!!

Re: Wedding pictures...
sometimes I think, 'How could I have forgotten to take pics outside Leonard's, in the courtyards near the flowers? WHAT WAS I THINKING?!'We had always wanted garden shots, but when we got to Leonard's we were both STARVING, so we ate in the bridal suite and then took pics INSIDE. The only time we went outside was to take some shots near the building- but it was already night time.
Also, my original park would not let us in, despite the fact that we had a permit. So, we went to another park, which was nice, but not NEARLY as nice as the original park. The original park was on the water with the bridge much closer...

Re: Wedding pictures...
i love the pictures that i have, i really do, but there are a TON that i don't have! no picture of me & my mom for instance. in the excitement of the the day, with so many pictures being taken, i just forgot to keep track of who was in pictures and who wasn't. it sickens me to think i don't have a picture of just me & my mom!! she's in other pictures of course, but its not the same thing.i think most brides have some tiny regrets about some aspect of their photos. my friends do.

Re: Wedding pictures...
I was very upset when I got my pics and I noticed there weren't any artsy shots. I specifically told the photographer that I wanted different photos. Instead I got a million shots of my and my husband kissing, while the bridal party looks at us...very original.
My photographer also didn't use the flash in many photos and some of the best outdoor shots didn't come out that well ~ and they had to be made lighter...which made them look grainy. Even my favorite photo of the bridal party around the gazebo didn't come out..
AHHH!!! I have to go calm down now!!

Re: Wedding pictures...
I think everyone does this. I've also found other pictures that I like now that I didn't even notice when I first got them...now I'm wondering if I made the wrong decisions for my album.I wish I would've had some outside pictures in the vineyard and stuff...I keep thinking why didn't we go outside for just a minute...but I'm sure it was probably freezing and dark and the vineyard was just sticks at that point...
I also lost track of some of the family combinations that I had wanted...Oh, well....can't do anything about it now. I have over 700 pictures and if that's not enough, then I need to get a life!!!

Re: Wedding pictures...
And here I thought it was only ME who did this! I think it also stems from all the other proofs I look at from other brides on this site, and I see an amazing shot and think 'darn, I should have done THAT'
While my wedding was only a short time ago, the more i look over my proofs the more i realized that there were quite a few shots we didn't get... There aren't quite as many photojournalistic shots as I would have liked in retrospect (this is not a fault of my photog... they were wonderful .. its more my lack of communication towards the end... I was burnt out and just didn't list all the SPECIFIC pics I wanted)
I also didn't get just a 'me & mom' shot .. nor a few shots I wanted with a few very close friends. Bummer.
And my biggest pet peeve (totally MY FAULT) is not getting the 'money' shot at the Vanderbilt Museum. The best view at the Vanderbilt is overlooking the water from out back of the mansion..... its the reason you take pics there! So yes, I got my entire wedding party, me and the girls.. him and the boys.. but not ONE of just ME and HIM!
Here is an example. GREAT shot of DH, but NO shots of me and DH in this setting

Ah well.... I'm over it ... sort of

Re: Wedding pictures...
We were supposed to have an outdoor wedding. The crest hollow country club has very beautiful grounds in the back. Unfortunately, it was overcast all day and they decided we will not do it outside. Plus the grass was wet and what not. So, all of our reception pictures are on the staircase so they are pretty much all the same. I'm definitely disappointed about it, but considering my mom paid for it, and the pictures still came out very nice, I'll get over it!
