What a great anniversary weekend. What are all the 5/16, 5/17, 5/18 brides doing
Well since our 6 month anniversary is this monday, we were going to do something this weekend. We were gonna go out to dinner on saturday but now all that has to be cancelled. Just found out yesterday when i went to the dentist to get my root canal filled that it cant be done and instead they have to extract my tooth . Last year when I went to a different dentist I had 2 root canals done but he stuck the need too far up and broke my apex and broke the root of my tooth. I knew something was wrong bc why would i be in alot of pain a year after a root canal and need another one. Thank god this time I went to a different dentist. So now i have to go and get 2 teeth extracted, leaving in an hour. I would rather have 10 root canals than 1 tooth extracted, but no im having 2. So I will have two open sores and won't be able to eat much. So i said to forget dinner reservations bc who knows if i'll be able to eat by saturday. Its not wisdom teeth either, its the regular 2 back teeth so alot closer to the front. I'll be on pain meds all weekend lol.
I wanted to post to see if any weekend twins were doing anything even before i found this out. But i hope all of you will have a better 6 month anniversary. Any special plans?
and can i say how i cant wait for 08 to be over. Besides wedding day and honeymoon, this whole year has been bad luck, every month its something new and one thing after another.

Aw, I'm sorry your plans were ruined. Obviously, I'm not a May bride, but just wanted to send you these... I know how you feel about times it seems like your luck is never good. I'm looking forward to a new year myself, even though this year was better than last. Good luck!

Denise if it makes you feel better, I had to have a tooth extraction at 15 weeks pregnant which meant no novicaine and no pain meds. And I'm the one who needs the gas just for cleanings so i thought I would die but it was not nearly as bad as I expected. Mine weren't wisdom either, it was a normal molar. I've decided that it really comes down to the oral surgeon who works on you, some just have a magic tough. Thank god mine did. Just make sure you keep the ice pack on.

OMG WOW I shouldn't even complain then. Last week when i first went to the dentist bc i was in so much pain, he saw i had an infection and he had to stick a needle up there without novacaine bc you cant use novacaine on an infection. He did a lil bit of drilling and just scraping but i was in so much pain that if you even touched my tooth it hurt. I had to take anitbiotics for 5 days after before he can do any work on me, went back and again he checked the same way with no novacaine and there was still an infection. I was saying how i cant take going to the dentist anymore without the novacaine lol. But wow if it hurt me with that and no novacaine, i cant imagine a tooth extraction but glad it wasnt bad for you. Thank you so much, it does help alot that you say you did it without novacaine and you were fine. I know i will have novacaine today so i guess i should stop worrying. I have to man up
BTW hope your pregnancy is going great

so sorry to hear that, you and all the other girls here are so brave when it comes to the dentist, i can't even think about, just the thought of it makes me want to faint, everytime i go to the dentist and is something major i had general anesthesia, yes i am big WIMP and hate dentists. and like the one of the girls mentioned how about some movie night or going to watch a show in the city? as you know dh and i are going to Buddakan, and we'll be ordering what you said. I'm really excited I can't wait. Anyways for you and hope you feel better soon and we can go on a double date at Buddakan soon

It is, thank you.
It was the infection that was hurting you so much...poor thing. My dentist told me I couldn't wait anymore to have it done (I was hoping to hold off until after I had the baby) but he said I can't because he said god forbid it becomes infected then I would be in serious pain and I still wouldn't be able to have any novacaine and then I'd be in tears. As long as your infection is gone it shouldn't be that bad. It's no walk in the park, but it wasn't painful...more like uncomfortable, but bareable discomfort. Good Luck and take whatever fun pain meds they give you for afterwards.

Denise if you happen to come back on after the dentist and look at this . . as someone said, use the ice pack faithfully. 20 min on 20 min off for lots of hours. take a pain pill sooner than later cause I was told it's a lot easier to avoid pain before it starts than try to stop it once it comes.
I had one pulled this past Jan and with about 2 doses of meds and 8 hrs or so later was fine. so I hope you do as well or better.

Congrats on the 6 months!! I am totally with you on wanting the end of 08 to come faster than usual. It's bittersweet, but this year has not been the greatest AT ALL! Hope you feel better soon!!

Awe Denise that stinks. Tooth pain is the worst! I have one root canal still open because my insurance stopped paying and I always worry that it's going to act up. In the next few weeks I should be able to get it taken care of. The tooth thing is so stressful but good luck with the extraction. Just think that they are getting rid of all the bad stuff and it can finally heal. Have some soup and pudding on hand too for when you're ready to eat. Make DH pamper you! Good luck!

Thank you so much ladies. I built it up a bit too much in my head. I didnt even feel it when they pulled the tooth. He said i would feel pressure not pain and I didn't even feel pressure. After he took it out i even said 'oh wow its out already. Then he had to stitch it up and again didnt feel a thing. The drive home though when the anesthesia started wearing off alittle then i started feeling the pain. I just wanted to get home quick and take my ibuprofen 800mg, but of course I hit the worst traffic. It just felt so sore and was hurting, but thank god the ibuprofen works amazingly.

Thank you. Yeah its funny bc usually i am good with these things, i dont mind the dentist and i am fine with needles or anything when i go to the doc. Even for tats i didnt have a problem beforehand and was fine with it. I pictured this barbaric act for some reason with the extraction hahaha.
Yeah thats how you know i was in alot of pain after bc i usually NEVER take medication that strong. In the past when they used to give me vicodin i wouldn't even take them. This time I came rushing home and ran right for the ibuprofen
