I didn't feel like I really compromised at all...we made decisions together but we have similar taste, and we were paying for it so I kind of got everything I wanted....and I didn't give in to any of my mom's pressures (and in the end she had a great time so she didn't care).

We did have a day wedding instead of evening b/c of price, but it was such a beautiful day and we had an outdoor wedding that we were glad we did...

I guess the only compromise I made was having carrot cake as one of the desserts, but I picked the other two desserts so that didn't matter......

First, I really wouldnt change a thing...everything was exactly how we wished it would be...however a few things that weren't my idea were:

I wanted a fall wedding (Oct or Nov.) and he wanted a spring wedding...we did spring. Luckily we had a gorgeous day...but I was worried about rain and high humidity...we didnt have either

A stupid thing was DH loves Calla Lillies...I am not a huge fan...I picked out all the reception flowers....my flowers...mom flowers....but he really wanted the BM's & GM to have calla's so they did. I got them with the blush center to match everything...but I would have prefered something different.

We both pretty much agreed on everything....aka, my way.

No seriously, we split tasks. He handled band, limos and honeymoon. I handled everything else.
