what did you all do with some of your wedding stuff? (garter, caketopper, etc)

Original post by RockysGirl

I'm wondering if anybody else is as sentimental as me. lol.

When we moved into our house right after getting married, one of the first pieces of furniture I got was a big display with four glass shelves, and we filled one of 'em with wedding stuff - pictures, our toasting glass, the Unity Sand Display, the cake toppers, the garter, etc. It looks awesome. hehe.

Anybody else save all this stuff? Sometimes I wonder how long we'll be keeping it all displayed. Hopefully most of it will always have a place in our home I love looking at it all. Bring back such good memories, of course

eventually i plan on making a scrapbook of our engagement/wedding/honeymoon and i was actually going to put some stuff in the book - like our hotel room key cards, our vows, and anything else i can fit onto the pages....

that's a good idea! I'm VERY sentimental (poor dh) so I try to save everything. When our relationship first started getting serious, I had bought us one of those 'Couples' scrap books from Spencers and OMG how fun!! I love looking back now and reading everything. You fill in the information on your first date, first kiss, first dance, favorite gifts, etc, etc. I have all these pictures in there too as well little tidbits of our lives - like movie stubs, receipts, and so on. There's also stuff from our honeymoon (like the room keys and other small things we took on our journey. lol).

I also have a picture album filled with every picture we ever took together from the beginning of our relationship until present. And then another filled with just the Rehearsal Night & Dinner. Of course I'm sooo excited for the wedding album as well. hehe. I really do love looking back at everything and i can't wait to be able to show my children it all someday. My parents have one that i love looking at, but there's only like 10 pictures in there. So i'm glad that my future children will be able to not only see every detail of us in our photo albums, but also watch the wedding video itself. I love technology. It'll be like they were there
