I was told I should have put it in the freezer until next year. It is in the fridge I have no room in my freezer. Maybe I will take it to my moms house and freeze until next July.

thats what i did gave it to my mom lol my friend said she ate hers on her one year and told me not to eat it cause it tasted terrible lol she and her DH went out a bought a cake just to say they ate a cake haha ill try it but im sure i wont eat a whole piece

Yea, it def needs to go in the freezer or it won't make it until next July.
I put ours in Tupperware and then wrapped it in plastic wrap and aluminum foil, then put it in a plastic bag. I wanted to keep it air tight and it was soooooo good when we finally got to eat it on our anniversary!!!

I didn't think it would last a whole year in the freezer without getting freezer burn. So DH and I shared a piece of it about a week after the wedding. LOL, the cake was just way too yummy for me to just leave sitting in the freezer! Maybe for our 1 year anniversary I will get a cake from the bakery with the same type of filling

It is in my Godfather's freezer for our 1 year Anniversary. We are going to try it & see if it's still good. DH is not crazy about eating certain foods that have been frozen, he is weird like that.
