Just curious since not many brides keep their gowns or things like that anymore. It's not like our mothers or grandmothers who used to pass down their dress to the next generation.
I'm still debating on whether or not to keep my veil & tiara. I know I have no use for them, but they were so pretty, I might have a hard time giving them up!!

Re: What did you or are you saving from your wedding?
I am keeping my gown. And my veil. But my headpiece broke the night of my wedding
But I am keeping my hairpins and maybe my daughter will wear them one day.
I wish that I had had someone preserve my bouquet tho. It was dead when we came home from our hm.

Re: What did you or are you saving from your wedding?
Keeping everything that was mine: dress ring bearer pillow (I made it myself) BoK (It was silk) Garter unity candle and tapers (made them myself) centerpiece (Again, it was silk) My shoes (I've already worn them to a christening) I'm sure there's more
My veil and tiara were borrowed, so I don't have them.

I kept everything, but I cannot find my shoes. I would have totally used them again too...oh well.

It's weird, but I am most sentimental about the DIY projects than what I wore that day. I am keeping my invites, menu, an OOT bag, ribbon wands and seating cards.
I also kept my veil but had my mom cut my dress into large swaths of fabric to be eventually used for a christening gown or something else.

Me too! Might dye my second pair of shoes black though so I can wear those (I hardly wore them that night but stayed in my first pair)

I kept my gown, jewlery, and cake topper.

I'm keeping my dress, some sample invites (still love those puppies), my donation cards and a few programs. People still ask how to phrase things, so I volunteer my service.
I still have everything else, but am not opposed to converting them into something useful/letting someone borrow or keep them/selling them to the highest bidder!

Re: What did you or are you saving from your wedding?
I'm keeping my dress. I'm debating if I should take up the hem or risk dying it. There's no way I'm not wearing this dress again. Maybe I'll just save it for when I win an Emmy award. We have our cake topper on our bookshelf and we're saving some keepsake stuff in a box under the bed: extra invites, yarmulkes & programs. I don't even know where my veil is, I think it's at my parent's house. I don't really care about keeping it, the comb is broken, but I won't throw it away just yet, in case my sister wants to borrow it when she gets married.

I still have everything over a year later......
I am not giving anything up to the garbage but I will let my sister or a friend borrow anything.
