I'm making meatballs tonight. I usually do chopped onions, egg, breadcrumbs, parmesan, garlic, and parsley. I feel like it needs something else, what else do you put in your meatballs?

Re: what do you put in your meatballs?
Instead of breadcrumbs, I use italian bread. I wet it, pull the crust off and use the inside of the bread.
So it's the bread, egg, parmesan cheese, garlic, salt, pepper and parsely.

This is exactly how I make mine too

Re: what do you put in your meatballs?
I actually made meatballs and meat sauce today (in the 5th hour of the sauce cooking lol)
I use a combo of ground beef, pork and veal eggs grated cheese parsley salt and pepper diced garlic i used 1/2 bread crumbs and 1/2 milked white bread (crust less white bread soaked in milk and squeezed out). it adds a lot of moisture to them and gives it a little more texture.

I think I'm the only one who puts ketchup in mine. lol. I usually put in Eggs, Italian Bread Crumbs, Season All Salt, & Ketchup.
I've gotta try some of your recipes though. Sounds good!

they are pine nuts and they are delish! I think I might have to try them in meatballs.
I use the mix - beef, pork and veal. usually called meatloaf mix. eggs, grated cheese, breadcrumbs (seasoned), fresh parsley. yum.

Re: what do you put in your meatballs?
def use a combo of pork beef and veal. in addition to the bread or breadcrumbs, egg... add plenty of salt, pepper and garlic powder and lots of parm cheese. also, i chop fresh parsley, and chopped onion and sautee all of this with fresh garlic in small amount of olive oil. let that mixture cool, and then add it to the meatball mixture, its great!!

Re: what do you put in your meatballs?
I LOVE all these responses, thank you all so much for the suggestions. I might take a little bit of everyone's recipe and make an experimental everything meatball

Re: what do you put in your meatballs?
Sauteed onions and garlic, one egg, breadcrumbs, pecorino romano chesse, Italian seasoning and a little milk. I then coat the MB's in more breadcrumbs, bake them @350 for 20 mins, then throw them in the sauce to cook them through.
Edited for spelling
