What do you put on your grilled chicken

Everytime I make grilled chicken it comes out so blah! What is something healthy I can put on it to give it a little zing?

I like to put low-fat or fat-free Italian dressing on it - the non-creamy kind. Wishbone makes a good one. You could put onions and tomatoes on it too.

Lawry's makes a bunch of really great marinades. You can find them in any super market. My fav is the lemon pepper. I like to marinade the chicken breasts when I get home from the store and freeze some in the marinade...SO good.

I love pureed basil with a little olive oil and vinegar and salt - YUM. . . you can also puree it just on it's own -

or really simple - I have this lavendar sea salt and just put some on chicken before cooking and it's delicious with no extra calories - same thing with a little rosemary -

Sometimes I put Sazon on it! It turns all orange! So fun!!!

Sometimes I season it with Adobo, Garlic powder and Onion powder.. and then cook it with chopped onions and some Jack Daniels BBQ sauce.

I usually cook the chicken in a pan with pam.

I just made grilled chicken with honey, red vinegar, salt, pepper, chopped garlic, garlic & onion powder and paprika and it was yummy!!!!

Also you can marinate it with yogurt and honey and herbs and it comes out good too.

Re: What do you put on your grilled chicken

I posted this for the cookbook and it is SO good...so easy and so healthy. Because there is no olive oil it is extremely low in fat and also low carb!!

Balsamic Basil Chicken

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

1 1/4 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 4 pieces
8 ounces cherry tomatoes
1/2 cup fat-free, low-sodium chicken broth
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
2 tbsp freshly chopped basil (or 2 tsp dried herbs)
Preparation:

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Coat a large baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Place chicken pieces and tomatoes in baking dish. Pour chicken broth and balsamic vinegar over chicken. Sprinkle basil over the top.

Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes, until juices run clear and the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.

Re: What do you put on your grilled chicken

I do this sometimes it isn't the best option but it is so good.
Marinade-

Light Soy Sauce (1/2 cup)
Sesame Oil (1/4 cup)
Honey (1 tsp)
Garlic (grate 3-4 cloves)
Red Pepper Flakes (1/2 tsp)
Lemon Zest (1/2 tsp)

I don't really measure just eyeball it. Mix it well with a whisk. It is good for things like stir fry chicken & broccoli.

I love Frank's Red Hot on my chicken too.

I try to change it up a lot

balsamic vinegar and honey
garlic and herbs
dijon mustard
terriyaki
or different pampered chef rubs
