Re: What do you think about DH

I had mentioned it to him in the past and he stopped, or so I thought. It really doesn't bother you? I feel like I should be the only one he is looking at. Is that selfish? It makes me feel like I am not good enough for him, that he needs to look elsewhere. Does that sound stupid? Maybe it is my low self-esteem.

thats not how it is at all, so dont feel bad or feel its against you. The way i see it and i know many will disagree with me but i am sorry to say, that ANYBODY would notice somebody of the opposite sex and think they are attractive. Doesn't mean OMG look at that hott person i want to be with them. But its natural, nobody is going to see somebody who is attractive and say 'Oh no they are not attractive bc i am with somebody so nobody else can be attractive' i can see a guy and think 'oh hes a good looking guy' and thats all, doesnt mean i want to do anything with them. Hey if i see a gorgeous girl i can say 'hey she is a gorgeous girl' if i can notice a gorgeous girl then why cant DH. He still has eyes, and the way i can see a girl and say yes she has a great body and is beautiful, i doubt my Dh now is going to think gorgeous girls are ugly bc he is with me. Look at how many times ive seen girls on this site posting shirtless pics of hot guys and everyone drooling over them. But if our dh's were on a site and posted a pic of a half naked hott girl and said 'OMG how hott is this girl' women get mad at them.

Porn, its something they loved watching since young teenage boys. Its better that they are at home watching porn rather than trying to live out those actions.

However, if it bothers you this much then you should talk to him and express to him how you are feeling.

well said! that's how i look at it too.

That is true. It is def. a different way of looking at it and I was thinking about the girls that posted the hottie men. He has always been into porn and I guess it is wrong to change him. I know he loves me and would never cheat on me. I trust him fully. I just feel like he should not be interested but I guess it is natural and he sneaks because I get mad at him.

I'm sorry but i have to disagree with this entire thing. Being into porn is COMPLETELY different then noticing a good looking person on the street. imo, you can't relate the two. COMPLETELY different.. everyone is different and just because it doesn't bother some, doesn't mean it shouldnt bother others..jmo. Suzanne, u said above understandable reasons why it bothers you, and guy thing or not - the bottom line is - IT BOTHERS YOU. if you truly decided you don't care then that's fine...but if deep down it does, then talk about it! I think flipping out & fighting is absolutely the wrong thing to do, but i think sitting down, & really telling him how you feel is important..DONT LET IT TURN INTO A FIGHT.. if you don't say anything, and it escalates into something more then just a casual thing - it can be the root cause of many issues down the road and make it much harder to deal with. I don't know if you have myspace - but i think you can still view this anyway, it's mainly about an ex-pornstar, but it's a page with a TON of info & links that u can take a peek at..maybe it'll help with ur situation

i can't get it to make a link but u can just copy & paste the entire address into ur browser..

It doesnt bother me, we watch together also. What WOULD bother me is if he tried to hide it from me or lie to me about it....it would be a problem if he lied about ANYTHING actually.
I don't feel Threatened when he watches porn or when he 'takes care of biz' himself.....i think its natural and healthy...i know some women who FLIP out if the man does that 'by himself' i think thats just silly.

I appreciate your opinion. I will look at this site tonight after work. When I noticed it yesterday when I got home from work, I just walked out and went shopping for a couple of hours. I did let him know beforehand that I saw what he was looking at.

it doesn't bother me, but i know he gets a bit embarrassed that i know what he's looking at. whenever i use his computer, and type in a website it automatically brings up the sites he's been looking at and i always bust on him for it. i know he looks at it when i'm not home, it's a given - he's going to do it and i can honestly say it doesn't bother me one bit.

if it does bother you though, you should speak to him about it.

I agree with espo...my DH was just away for a month so i know he was looking at websites...and i know he watched as a teenager i do not know how often he does this when i am not home now but i really wouldnt be bothered by it unless maybe it was affecting our sex life hehe but so far so good with that....me i am not so into watching it i kinda find myself making fun or criticising it! but it is a natural reaction to to see a nice looking person and notice them it definatly doesnt mean that they now want to leave you and be with that person....DH and i actually point out hot guys or girls to each other lol well its more me pointing out hot girls then him pointing out hot guys but you get what i mean!!

i wouldnt feel inferior to any of the girls in porn because at the end of the day your hubby is getting in bed with you!!!!

there is a reason i compared it to looking at somebody on the street, and if you saw her post that i quoted then you would see why. She said 'she feels he shouldn't look at anybody but her' so i responded to just that one small statement bc if she is bothered by him even looking at someone else then what about him finding someone attractive down the street and showing that even something as simple as that you cant stop

I NEVER said that she has no right to feel the way she does. At the end of my post i did say BUT if it bothers you then you need to speak to him about it and let him know you feel, i didnt tell her to ignore it and get over it. So yes i do realize people do feel differently than I do and that is perfectly fine.

My post was just to help her self-esteem and not feel like his actions have anything to do with how she looks or how he feels about her. I felt bad that she felt that way and not just from that 1 post but her other posts, i tried to make her feel better by showing her how every single one of us can look at someone but its ok to do so.

Also she mentioned low self-esteem issues. And what i think is that its not just about porn alone. That this will also effect more simple things like i did mention. Not only does she have to tell her Dh how she feels about him watching porn, but she should also work on herself bc she shouldn't have low self-esteem and i hope she is able to work on that. Sometimes one problem we deal with isnt the only one at hand. If she is against porn then that is how she feels and should continue to feel that way. But if there is low self-esteem issues then guess what, they willcome up other times too, not just when he watches porn and that is a fact and will definitely happen.

I am not the only one.

for some reason I am really uptight about it as well . I don't care if DH watches, but I won't. He threw all his porno;s out when we moved in together , i asked him why and he said i would have been embarrassed to show you how much i had
