I worked in Student Affairs as a Director of Student Activities for a small university before I moved to Philly this past June. Currently, I'm a stay at home mama, but I'll look for work again in the summer .

Right now...

I am subbing since there are no teaching jobs on long island and working in retail. Both of which I hate doing. I am seriously considering become a real estate agent.

I'm a 4th year medical student...can't wait to start seeing some $ for living at the hospital- although its still another 3-4 years of training till i'm a fully licensed and practicing MD

How did you get this particular job and how do you get high profile clients? Just curious. Sounds like a cool job.

Yes it is a fun job and the perks are def great.. but the money is ehhhh.. I have worked my way up but still not where I want to be.. I took over the job after my friend left the company.. its a very small agency and we are based in hicksville.. not many agents at all but we have gotten a lot of business just by referrals and my bosses being in the business soo long.. everyday we get new business and sometime ofcourse we lose some along the way.. but usually we weed out the bad ones, LOL!!!
