Edit- I am currently a substitute teacher!! I taught 3rd grade in NC for the past two years and HATED it!! So I've decided to sub again ( i subbed for 2 years before moving to NC) while I decide what I want to go back to school for!! I'm thinking social worker.

I work as a Personal Service Representative at a Credit Union.. I basically help members with their accounts and process loans and what not.. I love it

I work as an executive assistant for FIL's insurance agency. I also do volunteer work at a school in Brooklyn.

I do window displays.
I've worked for 10 years in the visual retail industry(doing displays, interior design,merchandising all that) & last year I left a job for a better opportunity (so I thought) & just today my boss told me they are getting rid of my position because they need more sales managers not visual managers. Crazy ! so now it's back to resume writting & getting my portfolio together again.

accounting is my background, but now I'm kind of doing a mix of accounting & admin work for the Design & Construction group for Goldman Sachs.....it pays well but I HATE going to Jersey City everyday from Queens!! I spend at least 2 1/2 hours every day commuting. Since I've been married I sit here and wonder whether its worth it to take a pay cut and try to work from Queens or LI again......or stick it out til I have kids and try to get a work from home gig w/ my department? sorry that was just me thinking out loud!! lol

ugh, that commute sounds hideous....
ah to deam of telecommuting frankly, you'd be an ideal candidate! It's not like me, where the lab can't come home with me.... you're probably at your computer a good portion of the day.

I loved bio and earth science those were my favorite classes in JR and HS. 20 years later, I still can tell my igneous and metamorphic rocks apart, so you DO leave a mark on a kid's brain
