What, if anything, did you flip out on DH for during wedding planning???
As I'm sitting here writing thank you cards, I just remembered something so funny and silly. This one couple is 'Avenue' not 'Road' and DH told me the opposite right when I had already sent out the calligraphy to Encore. I got really mad at him and made a rush order to change it. How freaking stupid of me. LOL So I'm doing this couple's card now. I'll be sure to apologize again when he gets home tonight! Ha ha! You guys????

I told him to get his a$$ in gear and plan the damn honeymoon already! It was his ONLY responsibility as far as wedding planning went, and he kept dragging his feet.....

Same here!! It was pretty much his only job and he didn't book it until like 4 months before! He had me stressing over whether or not it was going to get done at all and at one point I wanted to strangle him because we lost a package deal with an agent because he gave them his EXPIRED credit card for the deposit!
In the end, we still got a better deal and ended up in a better resort and had an amazing HM so I have to hand it to him because he still pulled through in the end!

I recall having a bit of a freak out attack when he promised that he would make our candle place cards and cd's and was running so behind! Everything turned out great, but I got worried and bought back up favors (seed packets) just incase. So our guests got an extra favor...

As silly as it sounds now--where the bridal party was going to sit. I wanted them at one table near us (with their dates). He wanted them to sit scattered around the room.--We comprised and did a little of both. But at the time I was so upset. And it was SO unimportant in hindsite.

We went to see photographers, and the first one we went to, I loved. (Imagine) DH didn't want to book the first one we saw, so we waited and saw a few others. Then we liked Imagine the best, and by the time we called them, they were booked for our date. I was so mad, and I totally blamed him!
Of course it all worked out in the end because I loved the photographer that we ended up choosing.

The only thing I remember, and I wasn't even really flipping out b/c of something he did, I was just having a 'bad day' and taking it out on him- He brought home a paper trimmer from work so we could cut out the hotel inserts for the invite and, I think, the vellum wrap-around things for our CD place cards and the stupid paper trimmer would NOT cut a straight line. I went NUTS. I think it was just the stress of having to get the things done (we, of course had procrastinated and were running out of time) and it just wasn't cooperating! Poor DH - when he tried to ask if he could help, I think I told him he really needed to leave the room - 'NOW'!!!

I remember two things I flipped out over. One was the invitations. I stuffed every damn invitation by MYSELF and he had the nerve to tell me that it wasn'ta big deal. Ummm, I would have liked to see him assemble 150 invitations. The other was the BP seating arrangements. My sister specifically asked not to be seated with my BIL's fiance and to be seated with one of DH's friends that she gets along with. Well low and behold, my BIL wanted to be with that same friend and though that my sister should be at that table too. In the end my sister got stuck sitting with my rude FSIL. I was furious that his brother's request was honored, but my sister's wasn't.

Really when we were first engaged we fought about his lack of interest in wedding planning. But by the time we hit the 1 year mark he was very much on board. The only things we really fought over were my 'Extras' he thought they were the biggist waste of money and didnt understand why I was driving myself crazy over the little things and I thought they were the things that really were going to 'make' the wedding and I put alot of time and energy into my ' little extras' and it really hurt me that he would make it seem like it was nothing after all of that....
In the end he did apologize b/c he realized after the wedding how much everyone LOVED the extras and even though we spent thousands and thousands on food and flowers people are still talking about the 'little extras'

sorry you girls dealt with guys lagging behind. I was maybe at points more involved in planning then she was. she just had to take care of brides things...otherwise, we did everything together and i spent many hours and nights preping for our big day.
my idea is if i'm not involved and have little or no control, it may not be perfect and i cant have that on my watch

Re: What, if anything, did you flip out on DH for during wedding planning???
After spending the day with his parents and hearing 'you have to do this' and 'you have to do that', we went to a party with the entire family. They started to do the Chicken Dance, and DH grabbed me and said 'We have to do this'. Well, I was thinking he meant at the our wedding> I didn't realize he meant we had to do it at that moment. I went ballistic, to say the least, and stormed out of the room!
Still, I think he freaked on me more than I on him. I asked him when he was going to order the tuxs and he yelled at me saying 'I didn't bug you about ordering the girl's dresses'. I couldn't help but laugh in his face.
I seem to recall both of these episodes happening on the same night! We were definite party poopers!

Re: What, if anything, did you flip out on DH for during wedding planning???
My DH was easy going with every decision. And since I'm used to doing things myself, there was very little I needed him to do for me - other then help with the DIY projects - which he was very willing to help with. I tried getting him to write some of our thank you cards, but his answer was, 'I have horrible handwriting and I don't know what to say!' Uhm, how about Thank you!
He does so much for me and my mom that I had no problem doing it all myself as I had a lot of fun with the planning of our wedding

I also had a blast during the planning but, every time I asked DH opinion on something, like white or black limo, he'd say 'I'll ask my Mom what she thinks'. That infuriated me!
