what is 'off limits'??

in terms of advances in technology....

dish washer vs. hand washing dishes?
wash n fold vs. doing laundry on your own?
sending checks vs. online bill pay?
grocery shopping vs. online delivery?

is there any thing that you just dont feel right about giving up the old-fashion way ??

just wondering.......

I will never have anyone do my own laundry- thats something I just like doing.

I grew up without a dishwasher and we still don't have one in our apartment- that is NOT off limits! I can't wait to move into a house and have a dishwasher.

I don't think I'll ever get into the online groceries...I love going food shoppin and walking up and down the aisles.

we have a dishwasher we only use it on occasion. And I also like food shopping and we have a washer and dryer in the house if we didn't I would plead with DH to do wash and fold. I pay amost all my bills online and when I saw the topic the first thought sh!tting on the chest)

This is the first time I've ever NOT had a dishwasher.

I miss it so much.

I hate writing checks. I do everything online.

Hrm... I have never done peapod or anything. But I'm not opposed to it.

I'm also very opposed to any future cars I might own giving me facebook status updates.

I'll never give up vinyl. So long as it's still made, I will continue to collect and play records.

I still download music. But nothing beats the sound you get from vinyl.

No dishwasher here.

No plans to own an e-book thingy.

Not into the whole online grocery thing...I truely enjoy going food shopping.

Always request for real concert tickets to be sent to me in lieu of print-at-home. I love the real deal and collect them.

But, I do love sending my laundry to be done, online bill pay, my super cool phone...

it's all about balance for me

Never had a dishwasher until we moved into our house, DH had to show me how to use it and we only use it when I'm being really lazy.

I pay all my bills online, we have a washer/dryer-so no need to have someone do our laundry for us

I always hand wash the dishes. We have a dishwasher in Greenport- never use it

As long as DH does the laundry- i wont drop it off to be done

I always online pay- DH never does

I like grocery shopping and I want to pick out what I want and to see what is on sale. I dont think I would ever do online delivery

ETA- the subject title, after the topics we have recently had you never know what will be on here

i couldnt tell you the last time i wrote a check.... i think it was for something wedding related....

as for laundry i will do my own, thanks.. dont want other people touching it.

online food shopping, i just find kinda werid.. i like to food shop anyway

We do not have a dishwasher in our current apt and I am losing my mind.

AND I love love loveeeee wash n fold. Thats only b/c we do not have a washer and dryer in our apt. If we had one, I'd do our laundry.

-I only pay bills on-line when I have no other choice. (ex. my check didn't clear in time & I didn't want to chance possibly bouncing a check)

-I will never send my laundry out. I love doing the laundry.

-As much as I love on-line shopping I will not shop on-line for groceries. I prefer to do to the grocery store.

-We currently have a working dishwasher. I always put the dishes, glasses & utencils in the dishwasher but always wash the pots & pans by hand. The dishwasher is old & they just don't come out that clean. I can't wait until we have a new dishwasher that can really wash pots & pans well.

It's not like I hate washing dishes, but if I could have a dishwasher I would be more than happy.

I do everything online....I am an online fiend. Meanwhile, my DH is sooo anti-online. I have only convinced him to do maybe two of his bills online. But he still doesn't trust it.

I like going to the supermarket, but I am tempted to try the online shopping.

It never bothered me to do wash n fold until one day, actually it was for our trip to Vegas where DH proposed, that DH bought a whole bunch of new clothes for our trip. We decided to have them wash and folded that way easier to pack them. Well I put them in a week before our trip. When I go to pick up the laundry I had given two bags. They only gave me one. Seems that they had given the bag with all of DH's clothes in it to another customer. And since they don't keep a record of the person's telephone, they told me they would have to wait until the customer brought it back. At least the woman who gave out the bag in error offered to pay for DH to purchase a whole new set of clothes. I didn't get the clothes back until two weeks after our vacation. After that fiasco I decided that I would never return to that place, but I have used wash n folds at other times, but I prefer to wash and fold at home.

i have a dishwasher but ony use it when i have company over. I am not the 'load up a weeks worth of dishes' kinda gal

i will always do my own laundry

i do pay bills online because its easier

i prefer going to the grocery store

I will not even let DH do my laundry, he ruins everything, and so did his mother when we were living with her at one point!

I pay everything online, its more green friendly

and I hate washing dishes b/c we have a small sink, but I hate our dishwasher too b/c I don't think it cleans everything well enough.

I enjoy grocery shopping, but it made sense to do it when I lived in the city.
