We are inviting 300 guests to my daughter's wedding. At my son's, about 20% didn't attend. Do you think we could depend on that amount? The guy at the place said its more like 20 or 15% Does anyone remember the amount that they had not show?

We invited 243 and had 180 - 25% didn't come. But, more than 3/4 of our guest list was out of state and Hurricane Isabelle was the weekend of my wedding so I think we had more not attend than the average.

We invited about 210 guests. We had a decline RSVP rate of 20% who many either refused to travel to NYC from overseas for various reasons... lack of time, $$$, bad schedules with kids, or fear of flying since it was almost the 1 year anniversary of Sept. 11th. Two weeks before our wedding we scrambling to utilize our 'B list' to met our minimum guaratee 150 guest list count. We had a lot of people who never returned our RSVPs but choose to do so in other formats such as e-mail, telephone, third party communications (thru our parents), etc.
Overall, we had 2 no shows which was a couple who RSVP 'will attend' but their bodies were never present.
