What question do you hate more?

I was on the 2010 board and I saw a sweetheart of a bride from 2011 ask how we are all doing and ask 'How's married life?' It was VERY sweet of her to ask but it got me thinking? Which question do you hate more? 'How's married life? OR 'Are you pregnant yet?'

I HATE 'How's married life?' I never know how to answer it. I usually just say 'exactly like being engaged except less fighting since we aren't planning a wedding.' SUPER ANNOYING! That prego question I can have a little more fun with!

I hate both equally...but I voted for 'hows married life' because someone literally just asked me 20 mins ago!

I voted for are you pregnant yet. I actually had someone rub my belly a few weeks ago asking me if I brought back a present from the honeymoon - mind you I had a beer in my hand when they asked.

It almost did...but it was someone that DH works with at the bar so I had to be nice. But I definitely pointed out the fact that they were asking while I had a nice, full, cold beer in my hand.

definitely the married life question because i also have no idea how to answer. i usually say, 'the same as unmarried life, except we're no longer living in sin'

I wish I could vote for both, but I miiiiight hate the preggy one more.

'Are you pregnant yet?'

'No, my birth control still works.'

I haven't gotten to this answer yet actually, but I do talk about coat hangers quite often

I was never bothered by the 'how's married life' question. Before I got pregnant, I would say that question annoyed me more.

oh its about the same as before... you know things don't change just because we're married. we're still the SAME people!


everyone knows not to ask if we're preggers.. not getting into it on here, but on FB, god forbid i wrote that i was a little over-tired, immediately everyone was asking if i was knocked up...
i FREAKED... nobody has asked since.

are you pregnant yet.. I had this flighty girl from a bar say congratulations to me the other day for having a baby.. I looked at her and was like 'what??? ' and she looked me up and down and then said didnt you have a baby? I was like uh no!!! but thanks for tellin me I did, lol.. she was like oh I thought I heard that.. I was like you heard wrong!!!! I swear everyone in DH's family has bets goin to see when I get pregnant!! lol..

I told DH's family that if I do get pregnant I would tell anyone until at least 20 weeks because I don't want them to judge me for drinking and smoking while pregnant. They haven't said one word to me since.

I did vote for 'How's married life' since it is the most rediculous question I have ever heard and every time I answer by saying, 'It's the same, just more bills and more laundry.' That answer is getting old and I need a new one.

I can understand how people ask how's married life. I'm sure I've asked newlyweds in the past too.

The pregnant question is more annoying and I feel bad for people who aren't planning on having kids.

I've already made my feelings known on pregnancy so everyone KNOWS not to ask it. I've already told everyone that we want to go on nice vacations and have nice things rather than have kids so if in 5 years we decide to, it'll be a big surprise for everyone, and no one will have harrassed us every holiday, anniversary etc.

Meanwhile, DH and I know for a fact that we want a family some day but it was better to create a low expectation up front so we could get around the nagging for a little while.

Since most people know we're having puppies and not kids.. I don't get the prego question often..

But yes.. I hate 'How's married life?' just about as much as I hate 'do you feel different?'

See, why can't people I know understand like the people you know? We tell them not for a couple years but for some reason anytime I feel sick or I'm excited or anything people are always saying 'YOU'RE PREGNANT!!!!???!!!!' I'm getting REALLY tired of telling people no. It's mostly DH's family who has a bet on who will get prego first, me or SIL. I finally told my MIL and DH's aunt that we stopped having s*x because we don't want to get pregnant. To which my MIL said 'you aren't taking care of my son?'

I hate hows married life, cause I havent gotten the preggo q yet
I usually say 'WONDERFUL, WE ARE HAVING THE TIME OF OUR LIFES!!!' w/a huge grin on my face
ppl are looking for that answer so better play to the crowd hehe

I hate both questions equally. I get both all the damn time from the same people. (mainly girls who work on the same floor in my building) Very annoying.

Majority of our families & friends know better then to ask me either of these questions. There are some family & friends who will ask & they just get some type of death stare.
