What restaurants/bars do Birthdays good?

Looking for recommendations for the city & Long Island. If you had an awesome time any place in particular, please advise! I'm running out of ideas.

My newest favorite restaurant in the city is The Stanton Social . I have been there a bunch of times including tonight! It's fun to go with a group or just you and DH. It has a 'small plates' menu, so you get to try lots of stuff! It's on the lower east side on stanton between orchard and ludlow. Def make a reservation though.

BTW I love Thai and always wanna be directed to new places to try...especially in the city!!
