i'm with michelle. while we had some people not give us gifts or cards, not sending them a thank you is stooping too low.

i sent thank yous because i wanted to thank them for being a part of my day. i didn't invite them so i could get their gift, and the dinner i paid for was not the thank you for their presence/presents.

bottom line: we invited who we wanted to be there, card or no card, gift or no gift. if they didn't bring card/gift, it speaks volumes about them, whether they are insensitive clods or just not in tune with what is expected at weddings, or in some serious financial state that they can't afford to give a gift, and might feel sheepish giving a card without a gift.

at any rate, telling them off won't solve anything, and it may cause more problems. just leave it be, and thank them for being a part of the best day of your life.

I got stiffed from a few people as well. Some sent gifts afterwards but for those who did not, I didn't bother saying anything to them. People can be so rude sometimes.

I didn't confront my BOUNCERS. Honestly if I see them and it comes up I will mentioned it. Other than that I can't be bothered tracking and hunting down inconsiderate people.
