Maybe some Godiva chocolate- he's a choc freak. Or maybe I'll make a cake or a nice dinner. Nothing major!

You may find this silly, but we were watching Mtv Cribs and Joseph Khan- the director was showing his house and he said that he has an 'idea book' for whenever he gets inspired.
My hubby said- wow that is cool. He has so many plans and things he wants to do in life, that this would be good for him as well.So I think I am getting him an idea book.

I might do broadway tickets for wicked...but his bday is right after valentines day, so that would be for both.
Usually I just make him a nice romantic dinner. Lobster and champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.

We usually just go out for dinner and maybe give a small gift. He loves candy so I usually make him a little gift box with all of his favorites.

We have a wedding that day so maybe I'll take him to the movies the night before.

Re: What to get hubby for VDay?
Why is my dear husband so difficult?? For one, he doesnt eat sweets of any kind. No cake, candies, nothing. So that rules 99% of the small gifts out there.

We do that all the time so its not very special you know. And since our kitchen is a diaster site, we have to go out all the time no matter what.

Stef, How about a gift certificate for a massage? Gave that to DH last year and he loved it. (I never thought he would go, thought I would get it back )

Nope, he hates massages. He has won some free ones and has given them to me or to someone else.
He also doesnt read books that are not work related. He doesnt write. He doesnt play computer games (other than the ones he already has), he doesnt watch DVDs, he doesnt read magazines other than the ones he has. The only things he wants are superbowl tickets, a huge flatscreen tv and a new car...ahaahh.
He is really impossible to give gifts!

My goodness!!!!! You really have your work cut out for you.
Is he into any type of sports other than football. Can you get him Rangers or Knicks/Nets tickets?

Re: What to get hubby for VDay?
I got Keith a trip to Vegas, baby!!! Its really for both of us, I guess. I got so excited about it that I told him already.
We are in the process of painting and decorating our new home which my husband is pretty obsessed with. He goes to Home Depot all the time 'to look around' whatever that means. And he loves to get tools. To me that stuff is incredibly boring and I hate doing it, but he loves when I get him tooks or HD giftcards. Is Luke that into home improvement??

What about a model of the car he wants? You know, the kind he puts together.

Stef, I think I have posted with you long enough to know you would NOT take your clothes off for a photographer, but I was thinking putting on a nice outfit and having the photographer capture a candid sexy shot

Nope, Im the one who loves to go to Home Depot to look around. I drool over tools too.
He has a bunch of tools but has no idea how to use them b/c he is so not interested in learning. So that wont work either! Grrr.
I was thinking of putting a wedding photo of us in a frame so he could put in his office. Its a running joke that he doesnt have a wedding photo framed in his office but he has like 50 photos of planes and stuff hung up. But that is more of a gag gift. I wanted to get him a real thing too but im clueless.
The sexy photo is cute but is not really me. I think he would just die laughing b/c it would be so completely out of character.
No, he doesnt do model cars or anything crafty.
(And you thought I was picky?? Did I marry the perfect man for a crazy person or what? hahahha)

I think I am going to get my husband a basket of bath accessories. He lives in the bathtub! We just moved into our new house and I swear whenever I look for him I first check the tub! (Our old apartment did not have a tub - so I think he is making up for lost time! ).
