my videographer is making me a seperate recap dvd that would be like 10 mins long and i was thinking of adding pictures from my photographer and a thank you message and sending that out as a thank you. i think it would be nice because a lot of our friends had to work and couldnt make the ceremony because it was on a friday. the other option would be the traditional picture of group of pictures on a thank you card. Please give me your opinions

I would do the traditional thank you and invite your friends over to watch the video.
The dvd thing sounds interesting but also expensive and I can't see most people watching it more then once.

DVDs are pretty expensive. Like 5 or 10 bucks each for the blank..not to mention the cost of burning, mailing, etc.. And I think most people wouldnt appreciate all the hard work.
That said, I think I would prefer to get the DVD in the thank you b/c I like that sort of thing.
In either situation, a handwritten thank you specific to guest is the most important thing.

if you want to share the video and dont have time to have people over, then maybe you can have the recap put up onto the internet?? i think one of the girls on here did that... maybe it was shamma ???

I love the idea of the dvd but i also think it might turn into something very expensive for you to give to everyone. I would say send the regular thank you to everyone and then maybe the dvd to close family and friends! We got a dvd from a wedding we were in and it was really sweet! Good Luck!

thanks for the help. i think im just going to do half and half. the people that i know are close friends or realatives i will send the recap and the others i will give the photo thank you
