I posted a few days ago about DH losing his wedding band in the ocean on vaca . His was pretty scratched up already anyways so I'm not looking to get him the same thing again. I'm looking at new ones online now, so any info about where you got your DH's ring (esp if you can order through the place online), what its made of (white gold, tungsten, platinum, titanium), and how many mm it is would be a huge help (I can't remember how many mm his was before. ).

My Dh has a plan white gold band. Not too thick not too thin (not sure about the mm). He wanted to keep it simple. He never wore a ring before and now I don't think he has taken it off since the wedding!!

I am not sure about all the specifics but this is fh's. He would never wear one that had diamonds and this one was pretty cool, he actual loves wearing it.
titanium not sure the size tho. titanium and tungsten are probably the hardest metal you can get for a wedding band, I have seen a few tungsten rings I really like (leafgirls hubbys ring) but alot of them look like plastic to me b/c of the finish. DH like the titanium better b/c he liked the finish better then that of the tungsten. Also, both are extremely lightweigth. DH almost never takes it off b/c he says he forgets its on.
The only problemt with titanium (not sure if its the same for tungsten) is they can not be sized. they can be polished but sizing is very hard so you have to be sure to order the right size.

DH doesn't work with his hands so he actually got a platinum band...i really like it it's hard to see in the pic but it has some baguette(sp?) diamonds in it too...something a little different
I think I mentioned in the previous thread that my DH has titanium. It is totally cost effective but the dam n thing gets scratched all the time
I am glad it was not expensive for that reason alone Peg is right you have to order the correct size to b/c it really cannot be sized if it small.
I would maybe consider platinum that is what is on our agenda next to replace the titanium.

Dh has a white gold one and it has a sand-blasted finish and luckily doesn't show scratches! I have a pic but will post later!

They're each 8 mm thick.
One is titanium & one is yellow gold... plain, no detail on either.

DH has tungsten, it's a Benchmark ring--you can find retailers on their site--also it has a lifetime guarantee through benchmark so you don't have to insure it (it's registered through them). They sell them at Jewelry stores though.
Can't be sized I believe, but they will send him a new one if he needs a different size for some reason I believe....

DH has white gold, pretty plain with a little design on the edges. We went to the Woodbridge jewelery exchange for both our rings. There are tons of booths there and great prices.

DH has this one too! Not Benchmark, found it on overstock for about $90, and bought the protection plan from them. I love it for an alternate band but it's nearly impossible to find one in a size 5!

We have matching bands, that have the claddagh symbol and the saying on the band in Gaelic is 'Cara Mo Anam', which translates to my soulmate.
DH has a titanium band...we just got back from vacation where he lost it in the sand! We ended up finding it after renting a metal detector He likes it.

thx so much ladies!!! and esp for posting pics so i can show DH! these are all so nice. i think it will be between titanium and tungsten this time. sorry i didn't post sooner to say THX. i didnt have internet access for the whole day after i posted.
i better make sure we size his finger again bc we cant remember what it was and i dont want to run into a problem with ordering online and then not being able to size it.
