What was the worst thing that happen at your wedding?

The worst thing that happened at my wedding was that my veil fell off during the bride/son dance...It was so embrassing..and was caught on the video....It was my fault..when I got my hair done in the morning..I forgot to bring my veil...so I had to depend on my cousin to secure it in my hair...big mistake..lol

Any other stories, mishaps...?

Dh almost passed out after the first dance and toasts! He didnt eat much during the day and was so hot- we left the reception for like 10 minutes and got him some water and something to eat! He felt better after that!

I'm so happy to say that the worst thing that happened at my wedding is they dropped our expensive, hand-made caketopper on the ground when they were moving our cake off the dance floor. It didn't break or anything though, and that really was the only mishap at our wedding. I was a lucky bride.

Morning of the wedding (like 6:30 AM) I go downstairs to get the keys to the hotel bridal suite and the manager says 'that's weird, it's not in here' (RCH uses those older key cards with the holes punched in them) so he goes upstairs to open it with the master key and finds some drunk guy asleep ON THE TABLE with the tablecloth tucked around him like a blanket. Turns out he was a guest at the previous night's wedding, had no place to stay, so someone gave him the key to the b.r. and told him to just crash there! I'm not even going to discuss the state of the room All I will say is that a) it was the worst thing that happened all day, which is to say the day went great!! and b) RCH did a fantastic job kicking his azz to the curb and sanitizing the room from top to bottom. In the end everything was on time and it didn't mess anything up but

the worst thing that happened at my wedding was that there was a gas leak and one of my bridesmaids and one of our groomsmen PASSED out and that the RH didn't even call 911!!

I'm so happy to say that the worst thing that happened at my wedding is they dropped our expensive, hand-made caketopper on the ground when they were moving our cake off the dance floor. It didn't break or anything though, and that really was the only mishap at our wedding. I was a lucky bride.

The worst thing that happened at my wedding was that I forgot to bring my veil with me when I went to get my hair/makeup done at the salon, lol. Besides that, I had an absolutely perfect day

we practiced dancing for months... never with the gown on

note to self: dancing in a poof is VERY different than dancing in jeans First backwards step I took, my heal got caught in the hem of my gown and tore my bustle

it's fine, I just slung it over my arm and kept going

1. I almost passed out taking pictures because I hadn't eaten in hours and it was SO hot out.

2. The DJ began playing my BP intro song and announced the first set of BM/GM, but it was my ILs walking in. So they were embarrassed that they weren't announced properly and I was annoyed because I lost the effect of the beginning of the BP intro song on them.

3. During the toasts, my sister (MOH) was forced into giving a speech and she's only 20 so she was a nervous wreck. She wanted to say, and truly believes she said, 'And Jon, I accept you in our family,' but it sounded like 'And Jon, I'm upset you're in our family.' She was so embarrassed and feels so bad. But we know what she meant and wanted to say.

Other things went wrong, like me not being able to walk up the stairs during our intro because my dress was too long, my bustle falling down and me walking on the dress all night, I forgot to kiss my Daddy when he gave me away because I was so nervous, etc. But I think those 3 things were the worst things that happened. It was still a perfect day though!

the hall lost an entire box of my stuff before the wedding even started - that included the guest book, my sand ceremony frame, and my petal cones.. glad i spent SO MUCH time and money on that stuff...

My florist!!!!
They wrapped my bouquets in a way that I told the florist that i HATED & used the incorrect fabric for wrapping. My bridal bouquet looked small & cheap. The best part is that they were over an hour late causing huge timing issues throughout the entire day. That also caused me to miss over half of my OWG appt so $300 down the drain & b/c we missed most of our picture taking time, we couldn't get in special family pics.

1) my hair - huge long story, but my MOH saved the day and made my hair look AWESOME

2) officiant started the ceremony welcoming people to the ceremony of 'randi jean and christopher', except i don't know any christophers. . . DH's name is CHRISTIAN

3) MIL & FIL had never been to a wedding and didn't know the 'flow' of things, so she was in the bathroom at the start of the mother/son dance, so DH danced with my Mom until our bridal attendant could fish MIL from the potty.

4) party bus could only take local roads home, because Southern State and LIE were closed, so there was much motion sickness (the bride, ie ME, included)

other than that, BEST DAY EVER!

One of my uncles, who is diabetic, went into sugar shock. They had to call an ambulance and take him to the hospital.

The weird thing is I didn't even know about it until it was all over. He was not in the ballroom at the time, and I was in the middle of the father/daughter dance. Everyone was determined to keep the info from me, and I did not find out until next day.

Later, I heard that my uncle was complaining to the EMTs about having to leave the wedding and that he was insistent that no one tell me because he did not want the reception ruined.

big FAT DJ mishap! Since I just typed up my review this weekend, I don't want to re-type the whole story......but I'll be posting my review (hopefully in the next day), you can read my lovely story in there! lol

1) One of our limos got stuck in the mud at OWG, causing the Groom & Groomsmen to get out of their limo and try to push our limo out of the mud.

Thank g-d they didn't get mud on them, just their shoes.

And about a week after the wedding, the limo company called to ask how everything was ... the girl didn't even have the incident 'in her file' ... and promised that the owner would be notified. He never called.



2) The tuxedo place tried to give some of the groomsmen the wrong style shirt. And my brother's shoes were 2 different sizes, and his tux jacket pocket had a hole in it so his stuff fell into the jacket. And one of the shirts had a cigarette burn in it. And their solution to altering my grandfather's tuxedo was to FOLD it over at the shoulders?!!!!!!

We confronted them the day after the wedding, and they just shrugged their shoulders.


BOTH of these vendors get great reviews on here .....

maybe the weather...or the very few MINOR little things i had goin' on with my DJ.. other than that our day was amazing i really dont have any big complaints... God blessed us with such a special day

My mother in law, father in law, 2 sister in laws, and one brother in law decided to have a loud argument in the middle of Jericho Terrace's lobby. Throwing around a term that should never be utter in public or private. DH and I figured they do something stupid we just never thought it would extend past our room! Classless!!!!! This is where DOC Hollie Pena Holmes was heaven sent.

Also one of my sister in laws(same as above) dressed like a cheap ho. She wore this red dress that was so tight she looked like an over stuffed sausage. In one of the non professional pics I have part of her nip is showing. Yup I said nip!!!!!

DJ screwed up cake song

Tux issues, but those we resolved.

Yet, I only remember having just an amazing wonderful magical day!
