What was the worst thing that happen at your wedding?

I'm reading these and trying to think of something. Nothing unless it was that I didn't get enough time to feed my face with all the wonderful food! The bridal attendant sat us at a table and said she'd bring us food which she did but with guests coming to wish us well it took the whole CH to eat 2 things. I didn't even get to stroll around the stations. I now look at my pics and drool over the food and say we had that, we had that . . .

but if that's the worst . . . everything was really truly wonderful,superb and magical that day. if only that feeling could last forever.

Yikes I def did! Wow that is pretty darn bad!!!!! In the end who called?

no big drama- just some silly stuff....

it was SCORCHING outside, the GM were all visibly sweating throught their outfits, you could slowly see the light blue of their shirt and light khaki of their pants get darker and darker at one point, our officiant had sweat go drip down his forehead and right in his eye and he couldnt read his stuff. i felt so bad for everyone! i actually couldnt open my eyes wide to look at DH bc i was facing the sun...not so nice for pics! i look pissed bc of the way im squinting, hah.

one of dh's bros takes off right after taking pics during the CH, without anyone telling me...misses the BP entrance to the reception, his other bro has to walk in w/ two of my BMs on his arms, and then the bro who took off showed back up with some girl he went and picked up. he flew in from OOT, had met the girl for the first time the night before, . Oh well, we didnt care, just cracked us up. like how random.

I FORGOT TO BUSTLE MY TRAIN (til like the last 15-20 mins of the night). but it was so short anyhow so it didnt get in the way. we all forgot. how stupid!

I was kidding... for the ladies who missed the drama earlier, some *bride* kept making posts about how there MAY or MAY NOT have been a gas leak at fox hollow. it was BALEETED.

nothing bad happened at my wedding... it was perfect and I was happy with everything... wish I didn't dance & drink so much b/c I looked like a HOT MESS by the end, but I had a ball....

oh and, dont ASK why Im up so gosh darn early..

My horrible flowers;

The priest screwing up bigtime at the ceremony.

The weather. It was pouring out that there were floods. People didnt make it to church, the ones who did were soaked. I actually laughed the whole time becasue i figured it wa just my luck... We will never forget the day!
The only other thing i can think of is our flower melted off the cake somehow during the reception and smudged down the whole front of the cake. No biggy.

1.
the makeup guy spilled red lipstick all down teh front of my dress - it was like a 4-5 inch mark after about 20 minutes, lots of tears and oxyclean, it mostly came out

2.
the church rectory never brought my marriage license to church like they told me they would and they were closed the day of my wedding!!!
i got a call saying that the wedding was off if we couldnt get it so somehow my uncles got in there and i signed it as i pulled up

My then fiance walked into the bridal room 15 minutes before the ceremony and said, 'Promise you won't get mad!.' You can imagine the thoughts running through my mind at that time. Then he told me that he forgot our marriage license at home. So we weren't really married at our wedding. We had to go the next day at 6:30am to the officiant, where he took us to a Dunkin Donuts, where we actually signed everything. So, essentially, we got married in Dunkin Donuts!



Some other things - he ordered the wrong color tux for himself. He ordered the same one that all of his groomsmen had, and since our wedding was on Thanksgiving, the store was closed so it was too late to change.
And last - it was over too soon! Before I had a chance to enjoy it, people started to already leave. I wanted the wedding to go on and on.

Ahh so this is what HeatherRose was talking about. By the time I read her thread the post had been deleted. I think I read something on the 08 boards regarding a new poster (>5 posts) talking all sorts of stuff about fox hollow

Woo where to to start lmao...

1. ABSOLUTE worst was that my expensive pendant necklace was 'misplaced' during my wedding because the RH took it upon themselves to move my things from the bridal suite WITHOUT telling me till after the fact, because some other bride arrived 2 hours early and demanded she have the room. They didn't want to pay up but finally because Im anal and document everything, the insurance sided with us and I got the money back though not the necklace.

2. My dress fell down during the wedding flashing the fact that I was wearin nada but underoos and spanx under there! LMAO. Mind you the dress fell down IN FRONT OF THE FAMILY DOCTOR AND FAMILY PRIEST friends!!! We were dancing and talking and my dress was too big so WHOOPS! It was gotten on camera.

3. Two friends got drunk and into a REALLY lout argument lmao over HIS steak kmnife which she used to cut her fish up with. She offered him hers but he didn't wnat it and she threatened to cut off his AHEM with the dang knife
She ended up walkign out and sleeping off soem of it in the car. Just a MESS!!!

4. It POURDE the day of and a slow but steady leak devloped over the head table right onto my head. I didn't notice cause my hair was so stiff LMAO until it leaked off a boingy curl and started dripping on my MOH. They couldn't fix it so they had to move the ehad table up a few feet and since the room was so packed to begin with, we were all cozy with one another


5. (this is more funny then bad) My DH couldnt get his rings on!!! LMAO the pastor was telling us to spit but we didn't wnat to so we were asking for Purell hand sanitizer lmao during the ceremony. On the video my aunt took the minister was heard saying 'Just spit for heaven's sake. Spit is consecrated today!

6. My aunt got drunk and was speaking in spanish to one of the servers. -rolling- and one of the pastas offered as penne a la vodka. In spanish, pene is a man's AHEM
so my drunk aunt grins at the server and tells her to bring her a BIIG serving of that cause she hasnt had any in awhile. The server laughed and agreed and they started talking about how long its been. They had such a good time she FORGOT the whole table's order and had to coem back 15 min later to get it.

Oh...do I have stories.....DH was vomitting and crapping himself to death the day before our wedding....not pretty.....then My DH gave me his 24 bug and a puked in the RH potted plants outside while still in my wedding gown....and I must say...I am a very good puker...didn't get any on my gown at all.

That is awesome.....

The worst thing was the fact that I completely forgot to request a mic for my outdoor ceremony. It never dawned me til 1/2 hour before the ceremony. by then it was too late. My DJ did not have his mic with him (one long enough to go from where he was set up to play my ceremony songs to the alter, he had the one for the reception) & the one that the hall had was too short. So alot of my guest did not hear the ceremony at all. Although I should have rememebred to request the mic, part of me feels like the DJ should have had one with him. He is DJ who does this for aliving, he should always be prepared for things like this. He even had the nerve to tell my DOC that I did not pay him to have a mic for the ceremony.

He also messed up my walk down the aisle, the song I selected to walk down the aisle to skipped & that really annoyed me!!!

And he also messed up our first dance. I wanted the first dance to just be me & DH. & specifically told him NOT to invite the BP. But of course 1/2 way through our first dance, he invites the BP to join us. I was SOO PISSED, because I told the BP that they would not have to do this, so they all looked & felt weird because of the DJ's mistake.

But other than that, ALL of my other vendors were great!!!! Although the DK messed up a few times he still played most of the songs that I requested & had the party jumping all night!!! It truely was the best day of our lives!
