The worst thing that happened at my wedding was that my veil fell off during the bride/son dance...It was so embrassing..and was caught on the video....It was my fault..when I got my hair done in the morning..I forgot to bring my veil...so I had to depend on my cousin to secure it in my hair...big mistake..lol

Any other stories, mishaps...?

I wish I listened to my photographer and took pics before the ceremony. I missed my CH and lots of pics that I wanted to take because there wasn't any time.

Also, I upgraded my centerpieces about a week before the wedding. My RH includes small bubble vases of roses and I wanted to have roses and hydranges- something more substantial. When I got into our reception room, they weren't there!! The RH had a delivery of my CPs but our names weren't on them. Anyway, as soon as my fabulous DOC Christine Viola talked to the RH people, the CPs were swapped and no one even noticed!! I heart Christine!

1) I wrote personalized intercessions for the ceremony like I was told to. My aunt was supposed to read them. I handed them in to the Preist, but somehow, they must have been forgotten because when my aunt got up there, the only thing in there was the sheet that brides are supposed to use for ideas to personalize. Honestly, it didn't matter to me. Nobody knew except me, DH, my aunt, & my mom. My aunt felt so bad though (eventhough it was not her fault) & she started crying. I felt so bad for her. After the ceremony I, of course, told her a million times over that it was completely okay & nobody noticed & it was not her fault.

2) I was sick the whole week leading up to the wedding. By our wedding day, I felt fine (thank god) but I had NO VOICE. When I went to say my vows & my sqeaky little minnie mouse voice came out it was so hard not to giggle.

i remeber another thing, it by far was not the worst thing, it was actually quite funny..

So my DH has a good friend who everyone calls turtle. So i thought it would be funny when i made the place cards to put his girlfriends name and turtle on the card. But we also needed a list of all the guests to match the cards, so I put the same thing on the list, thinking they will never use that list!! well of course he was on of the guests who didn't know where he was sitting and since his gf took the card already he asks them, so they take the list and he says I'm jim so and so, there like sorry sir your not on the list... he's like that can't be.. i'm with michelle so and so, so there like oh, shes with turtle not Jim! hes like oh, i'm turtle! they looked at him kinda weird and were like table 4!

the worst thing that happened at my wedding was that there was a gas leak and one of my bridesmaids and one of our groomsmen PASSED out and that the RH didn't even call 911!!

8 no shows the day of the wedding, all his side of the family.

DH's tux shirt was not in the greatest of conditions. It was supposed to be white but it looked yellowed in some spots, meaning it was old and very laundered.
That's why I wanted to go with him an pick up the tuxes. I would have insisted on a new shirt.

Does the fact that the day flew by so fast count ?

One of my BMs and a number of other guests got stuck in Baltimore during their connection on Southwest the day before the wedding because they closed Macarthur Airport. My BM and her boyfriend got tickets on Amtrak and came up. I felt bad because her BF had never been to NYC before and his first experience was Penn Station during rush hour on a Friday!

We had 100 rooms blocked at the hotel for guests (a lot of in town guests stayed too since the wedding was at the hotel). At around 2am, some kids who were staying at teh hotel unsupervised (and not related to the wedding) decided to play with the fire extinguisher. This set off the fire alarm - leading to hotel evacuation. A lot of guests were still up and ignored the fire alarm but, many were asleep and scared out of their minds. It bothers me to this day when people follow the 'nice time they had at the wedding' by the fire alarm scaring the crap out of them while they were sleeping.

This really isn't too bad.

My 90 year old Aunt fainted at the reception and I had to tell Reception hall to call an Ambulance

She is the sweetest lady you would ever meet....and when she came to. All she did was apologies for causing such a fuss.

We were just grateful that she was fine, and the excitement of the day is what made her faint.

Really everything was fine but my stupid fat a## bro in law. He decided after complaining two months prior about not being in the wedding party that he would bring it up the day before and the day of... loser. In my bridal suite no less he demanded my sister come to his beckon call. So basically just because this happened right in front of me, causing me to be annoyed and not eating my CH food like I planned. He's a looooser and sat at the wedding the entire night w a on... but yet not me... At least I no longer have to speak to someone I never liked from the beginning but saved grace for my sister... Guess I got out easy.

I must say, nothing was the 'worst'...the things I would've rather done w/o,
--the weather--The chilly, high winds from Hurricane Noel made outdoor pics a little challenging--but we did them.

-my ceremony flowers were pretty, but not exactly what I asked for.

-My videographer was a little more obtrusive than we expected.

But all in all, the day went very smooth.

Nothing really went wrong but at few things didn't go as 'planned'

On the way to the church the limo with all the girls called and asked if I had their flowers....They all left their flowers at the house!!! So they had to turn around and the Ceremony started 15 minutes late!!

I guess that was the worst of it though..........not bad!!

Nothing bad happened; just little annoying things. MIL was late getting to the hall so our ceremony started twenty minutes late. DJ didn't wait until second verse was over in our first dance before he started asking people to join in so we didn't get to hear the words to our song.

I would say the worst thing that happened though was we wanted 'Sweet Child O'Mine' for our last dance as this was our song eighteen years ago. Well, they played it but it didn't sound right (something must have been wrong with the CD). So 1/2 way through 'our song' they put on 'Livin' on a Prayer'; DH was fuming because he hates Bon Jovi (reminds him of his ex-girlfriend).

Aunt FLOW! Aka....my monthly girly thing came as soon as I got to the hotel the night before. I had terrible cramps all night long and barely slept. Took a bunch of Midol the morning of and when the wedding day craziness began I didn't even really notice. The only down side to it during the day was the fact that I had to pee a lot! ARGGG! But looking back, it could have been much worse.

It rained! which I didn't think would be too much of a problem but since my church was in the bronx and the reception was on LI EVERYONE was stuck in horrible traffic! which delayed picture taking and then we had to rush through them so we finished before the CH was over. Also, we didn't get to go to our CH which wanted. That was the major thing that went wrong. It ***** because I feel like we could have gotten much better pictures if we had more time and more 'backdrops'. Oh well, it could have been worse I guess

Everything was great but there was one really bad thing. Our banquet manager hounding my DH for his tip right in the middle of our reception. When my Dh refused to give it to him and told him he would have to wait until the end of the night he cursed at him and my mom and his boss had to send him home, thus really upsetting my DH at his own wedding. I didn't know about any of this until our honeymoon.

we almost forgot to have the flowers delivered before our photos!! Thank God my cousin, one of my BMs, asked 'where are your flowers' while we were still at the hotel getting ready. Somehow we had never made arrangements with Flower Michele to drop them off for photos!! FM raced the flowers to OWG and everything worked out.

It was time for the organist to play her song during the ceremony...but she must have fallen a sleep or something b/c there was a silence that lasted about 2 minutes! I didn't know what the hell to do and finally the organist started playing the song. I was annoyed!
