What's changed about YOU since you first started dating your DH to now that you're married?

I drove a hot little Honda, and denigrated every SUV that I ever saw on the road. I was still in college, but worked a lot of hours at crummy, dead end jobs. DH proposed the day before I started Graduate school. So, I had just quit my crummy job and moved back home with my parents so I could get through my Master's program quickly.

Since then, the Honda got totalled by a van, so I now drive a bad as$ QX4 and will never drive anything except an SUV again. I graduated from Grad school 9 days before my wedding. But, right before I finished grad school, I got a decent job with a big company, that may actually have some potential. And, I now earn enough money to pay my credit card balance, in full, every month.

We bought our condo 5 months before the wedding, so I finally became 'a home owner'

Oh, and we both had the same ideas on politics when we first started dating. Then, I changed my position on a few issues, and changed which party I support. Luckily, I was able to convert DH over to my new side as well!

That's a good question!

Let's see, I was a college student when we started dating, working 2 jobs to help pay my CC's, car insurance and all the gas money to commute and still have $ left over for fun and gifts.

Since I've graduated I've gotten a job in Manhattan, bought myself the convertible I always wanted, and am making more money. I've gotten more involved with family, started running a Children's Choir (which I love!) and am involved in the running of the Youth Program at my church with some other friends.

What changed the most for me was getting married and living on my own since I didn't do that before. I was always afraid that I wouldn't be able to make ends meet, but it's funny how that all works out.
