DH is pretty good with gift giving, but there was one stocking stuffer he got me last year that made me say 'huh?' He got me this book about being organized, something about organizing my time better...I didn't say anything at first but months later when I got in a fight with him I brought it up, 'what do you think I'm unorganized?' We laugh at it now but I still think that was a bit insulting.
What the worst gift DH's gotten you and could get you that would really insult you?

he never got me a bad gift. HE did give me a stocking stuffer like 2 years ago of a dvd i already had, but couldnt blame him for not knowing bc i never even opened that dvd and had it in a box for a very long time lol, it wasnt with all my other movies.
i think if he got something that wasnt me at all i would be upset but only bc I would feel he should know that about me. He usually gets me gifts that are exactly me and i like those small gifts that only somebody who knows you very well will get you. I mean dont get me wrong jewelry is real nice but any guy can get a girl jewelry and it will be good for her, but those smaller gifts that really shows he knows you are great.
I would be upset if he got me like a weightloss book or anything to do with that lol, unless i asked for it or said I wanted it

This is going to sound awful BUT a few years ago DH got me one of those circle necklaces.
I thought it was so cheesy. I hate when a jewelry maker says 'oh its not a circle it means eternity' and jacks up the price! Usually he is SO good with that stuff - I was the only girl who never had a double heart ring in HS or a name chain with both of our names on it bc he didnt want me to have something that everyone already had.
But then came this necklace. If he wasnt around I would tell people that he forgot my name and thought it started with an O - LOL
It was huge though, and with really big diamonds so I am sure it was pretty but it just made me sad that he didnt know me at all - luckily he made up for it the next time bc he got me a beautiful cross which meant so much to me bc he is not religious AT ALL and I am

Last year for Christmas DH and I decided not to spend alot of money on each other. So, of course I still spent a couple of hundred dollars on him.
Christmas morning he showed up at my house with a brown paper bag with 3 nail polishes in it.

I guess something to do with weight-loss. Although I have been bittching and moaning about my weight so he would be right.
If he got me any DVD of a reality TV show - I effing hate reality TV and say it at least once a week so if he got me that I'd kick him in the gonads.

it wasn't the worst gift, it was actually pretty funny.
Our first christmas together there were so many gifts under the tree and i was so excited!! I open up the first gift, it's lingerie. I open up the second, it's lingerie, i open up the thrid, it's stripper shoes, I open the fourth, it's hooker boots, i open the fifth, its a sweater, I open the sixth, it's lingerie.
At the end we just laughed b/c i was like... so, i guess i know what you want for xmas....

Last year DH got me a nut roaster (among other gifts)...
at first I was thinking why the heck does he think I want this.. then he said how he knows I love the roased almonds at the carts in the city and now I can have them all the time... then I thought it was cute! Nuts came out pretty good too

1-3 of our relationship he went to 99 cent stores and purchased $50 worth of crap to fill in for the few dvd's and cd's he gave me IoI He has learned now that i rather get one really good gift then a bunch of silly crap.

DH always does pretty well for the 9 years we have been together....I can remember every single gift for every single year...I know, I'm a dork
But.....his dad one year got his mom a SHREDDER and she still reminds him every year NOT to get her an OFFICE supply!!

He always gives bad gifts. It drives me nuts. all i want is flowers and he refuses to get something that will die. I guess what he gets would be good gifts for other people but they are never 'me' - anything from best buy, and jewelry is usually not my style- but the jewelry usually grows on me and i end up loving it but the best buy gadgets always go to waste.

ughh dh is horrible at gift giving- I handle all the gifts for his family and give him a very specific list of what I want- and he uses it as his bible, but usually likes to get creative and throw one of his ideas in- last year it was the magic bullet- and I love the thing but for christmas

I have to say, my DH is a pretty good gift-giver! I can't think of anything that I hated.
