DH and I did not open our gifts until after we got back from our HM. We had DH's parents keep all of the envelopes in their safe deposit box while we were away.

We opened ours when we got home after our reception and FIL made a deposit for us when we were away.

We started opening out gifts after we got back from HM but its too tyring and so far we still have lots of boxes to open. I feel really bad for my MIL, their basement is full of boxes from UPS.

We opened everything on our wedding night in our hotel room so we didn't have to carry everything with us on our HM. DH had an excel spreadsheet going to keep it organized. I made it through about half the cards and then fell asleep, he opened the rest. That was it. LOL real romantic wedding night, right?

We opened them that night in the hotel and gave all the checks to my mom to deposit while we were away.
same here - but yes, we did wait until after we, um, you know... important things first!

We opened the cards at the hotel after the wedding so we could deposit checks before we left for our honeymoon the next day.
We opened the boxed gifts when we returned from our honeymoon b/c my parents took them home from the wedding.

We opened them that night when we went back to our house. And the next morning we went to the bank to deposit all our money minus some spending money for the honeymoon

We opened them up after the reception at the hotel. We made our deposit 2 weeks later when we got back from the honeymoon.
