Please be honest. I just had my most recent physical on Tuesday and I was ashamed to say, I probably had one 3 yrs ago. I go to the gyn quite often, I was there in March. Now that hubby and I are TTC, I have made an appt for next month to make sure all is going well.

My last dental visit was in July. I will make an appt tomorrow, for an eye exam sometime this month.

We pay for health insurance but we do not utilize it. I am having the hardest time getting my husband to go to the dr. He cannot tell the last time he has been to the dr. I do not like that at all. I am so tired of nagging him. is anyone else going thru this with their hubby???

Do you know how to check your own breast, do you know what lumps if any are normal??

I want to know what is going on with you all that is why I am asking.

Last physical - Last year. Before that, about 12 years. My results were stellar, the Dr was happy to report.

Gyn appt/pap test etc - Last week. I go every 6 mos for exam (I'm on BC) and once a year for pap.

Dental visit - Last year. I go about once every year and a half - I have an aggrivated TMJ so I get fitted for a mouth guard. I haven't had a cavity since I was little and it fell out with the baby tooth it was in. How I have such good teeth, is beyond me - my whole family has BAD, BAD teeth.

Last breast exam - Last week. Every so often I do one in the shower...I'm embarassed to say I don't do it as often as I know I should.

Eye exam - Earlier this year. I've been wearing glasses for 23 years and contacts for almost 20, so I go every year.

eye exam - hmm, a few months after I had lasix done which was over 3 years ago.

Al're pretty good with this stuff. He was at the doctors with me a few months ago (new doc so we both went). And he's having surgery on his hand next week so he's seen a few specialists in teh last few weeks. I think he's due for a dentist visit.

Do you chew through yours too?! It's insane. The first few months of wearing a new one, I get sick to my stomach - I SWEAR it's the rubber I keep sawing off in my sleep.

Do you wear an upper or a lower? I used to wear the upper but found the lower to be more comfy.

Yay - I'm not the only 'mouth-guard-dork'. The thing skeeves my FH - not the way I look in it...just all the germs on it (no matter how much I disinfect it). OK, TMI there. I really AM bored. Gah.

I hate to say it, but sometimes - with men in particular - the 'scare tactic' works. A story of a man their age who had this, this, and that.

Maybe you could express how much you love him and want him to grow old with you and it would mean so much to you if he would go to the Dr to confirm that he is 100% OK and that it would really ease your mind.

Colleen mine smells and every morning I even put it in Listerine and still yucky! I think its the rubber or whatever it is made of!

I wear an upper one and since i dont wear it every night, like I should its still OK

Jenn, It's the morning breath!

Every so often I skip a night...my jaw is so tense in the morning- I regret it the whole day.

When I was first diagnosed it was b/c I couldn't open my mouth one morning - couldn't fit a fork in it! I went for physical therapy - that was the BEST (nothing like a head & face massage for 20 minutes!!) - explaining why I couldn't open my mouth, was not so fun. It's been a few years since then and now that I'm aware when I clench - coupled with wearing a guard - the aggrivation isn't so bad. Every so often it flares and I'll get a head/face-ache for a few days.

I know the feeling, if I don't wear mine, my jaw and sometimes even my neck & shoulder area are sore, thats how hard i grind at night, its crazy!!

I need to complain so I can get a face & head massage

My insurance company paid for the physical therapy - the dentist recommended it. I would go for it - DEF find a PT who specializes in TMJ. It was SOOOO worth it.

I used to come home from work in PAIN from talking on the telephone and the TMJ, it got soo much better now that i dont talk as much )excessive talking causes pain also).

Last physical - I tell my GYN everything...but I guess it has been about 5 years

Gyn appt/pap test etc - April...last time before insurance ran out...but we have new insurance now...but need to find a new GYN...I usually go every 6 months...1 year pap...6 month routine for BC

Dental visit - I was pretty good with going every 6 months for a cleaning...but its been over a year...only b/c I have been so busy...I think I need another root canal...so I should go pretty soon

Last breast exam / or for the older ladies mamogram - every 6 months by GYN...I know the self breast...and I do it every so often...but since I go to GYN 2x a year...I'm a little lazy

Eye exam - November...I needed new contacts...I would say I go every two years if I can make it with the contacts I have...if not...glasses are a last resort until I get there...

Last physical - I don't think I every received a complete one since college. I get blood tests and stuff almost yearly but I don't think I did a complete physical.

Gyn appt - June. I go every 6 months for the last 4 years. Boy I hate that place lol but love my doctor : )

Dental - I just went in May but I don't go regularly. I usually go if i know I have a problem. Bad I know.

Last breast exam/mamogram - I do self exams every month and I have been getting mamograms since I was 30. My mother and both aunts on my mother's side had breast cancer so they started me early to be on the safe side.

Eye exam - Just went in July because I needed new glasses. My DH said my last pair looked like Sally Jesse Rafeal glasses so I had to switch lol.

I get a physical once a year, dentist 2x a year GYN 1-2 a year .

I go to the nuero, dermatologist, orthopedist, and any other doctor i need to at the drop of a dime. I do NOT let my insurance go to waste!

Frank on the other hand i need to drag him kicking and screaming but i do..

Last physical - I think about a year ago, but I get a small check up when I go to my gyn.

Gyn appt - March, I actually have my next appointment in 2 weeks. I go every 6 months between being on the pill and my family history I like to keep on top of this.

Dental - May for a cleaning and check-up.

Last breast exam: March, at my last gyn appt.

Eye exam - May. I go once a year.

The way I figure it, if I have to pay for all of this health insurance, I might as well take advantage of it.

Last Physical - Probably a couple years ago. I have been to the doctor a few times in those two years but for minor ailments. Funny thing when I went to the doctor for my physical, I was ashamed to tell him that I hadn't been for once since probably entering college (at least 7 years). He laughed at me and told me I look in good health, have a normal lifestyle and that I should go every 3-5 years until I get older. (I was about 28ish when he said that!) I was surprised.

Gyno - about 3 months ago but before that like at least 2 years. I just have a hard time finding a gyno I am comfortable with.

Dentist - Now that I am married and have dental insurance - I would like to go at least 1-2 times a year. I think I went last in the spring sometime. I have a history of bad teeth issues in my family and I want to take care of them while I have them! Now I have to go get my remaining wisdom teeth pulled..now that I have insurance...just have to make the time.

Eye exam - probably 2-3 years ago. They took away our eye care insurance at work years ago so I didn't go as often as I should but now I am under my hubbies so I should make an appointment. Unfortunately the doctor I loved and was three blocks from my office moved way downtown so I have to find someone new.
