I usually go to Stop & Shop, bc I feel like I save so much $$ with my card- but then someone told me its very expensive? We will be on a tight budget soon with DH going back to school, so I want to get the most for my money!!

i gotta say that stop and shop is good quality---but i don't think the prices are that great for some things. like for instance--the prices and cuts of meat they have aren't very cost effective. for other things i'll head over there, but i tend to go to pathmark myself to shop sometimes.
for meat--i go to meat farms in commack--they have GREAT prices and amazing cuts of meat that are fresh...also they have nice prices on fruits & veggies. they aren't that huge of a store for everything else---they are a small supermarket--but they certainly have great meat.

My mom works at Stop n Shop and she says one of the most expensive places to shop is King Kullen. For all the other major place (Stop n Shop, Walbaums, Pathmark, Shoprite), I suggest you look in the circulars and look for sales. That is your best bet.

We usually use Stop and Shop, and sometimes use King Kullen. We like Stop and Shop for our big shoppings because we find the quality of their food to be best, but will use King Kullen whe we need something quick because it's right down the street from our house.

Huntington is the worst spot for food shopping, i have waldbaum fresh or King Kullen both ridiculously priced so I drag my butt to the new Stop & Shop on Jericho b/c I just love it there......it's got everything I need! I also LOVE TRADER JOES!!!

I usually go to Stop & Shop for most of our groceries because I can literally walk there from our house. However, I really like the store in general and I've felt that they have pretty good prices for most things. There is also a Waldbaums Fresh right down the block from Stop & Shop, but I tend to find them pretty expensive, so I only go there if they have a good sale on something.

When we run out of stuff we really need on a daily basis we'll go to our small local supermarket, but when it's time to go with the long shopping list we go to BJ's. You'll spend a little more than your usual because you're buying in bulk, but then their oversized stuff lasts you for months and u end up saving a substantial amount of $$$.

we go to Kings, and for meats/poultry/fish we go to Garden of Eden. Produce we buy at the local bodegas b/c its so fresh. Paper goods and cleaning supplies we pick up at CVS

We go to Taget first and get everything we can there like breads, soup, cheeses, medicine, tissues, toiletries. And then the rest of the stuff like fruits and meats we get in King Kullen which is in the same shopping center. I have been saving a lot of money this way. We may switch to stop and shop because they have started lowering their prices and I think they may be better the King Kullen now.
