I hate how expensive all the meat is in the food store. So I was wondering where everyone goes to get their meat and the best prices...?!?!

I justnoticed that meat has really become alot more expensive recently! Stop and shop had chicken for 5.49 a pound?! I usually go where ever the sales are. I read the circulars.

Whole foods has great meat. But its far from us. We go to wild by nature in Oceanside. DHs mom says Western beef is good too.

I like to go to the butcher. It's a little pricier but the quality is a world of a difference.

i went to PS 84. Dh lived by 20th avenue so a few blocks down. But i grew up on steinway between ditmars and 21st avenue so 2 blocks away from PS 84.

I like the meat from the Stop and Shop by me. Pathmark has some good stuff from time to time as well, but not as good as S&S.

OMG I LOVE JOHN'S FARM!!!! sil brought me there maybe a month or two ago & i could not get over how little i spent on meat & produce! i wanted to sue Stop&Shop for robbing me all these years! lol.
I've only been there a time or two, but u just reminded me to make it a point to go on my days off. My sil lives right by there so i can visit her & then make a grocery trip lol. not only are their prices great, but their selection is awesome & SO fresh..my fruit & veggies lasted so long & the meat was yummy!

I wait for sales and freeze it. I shop at King Kullen right by us. Sometimes I'll get stuff at Costco or BJs.

If I am grabbing something quick I'll go to a local store. We usually try to buy our meat from Costco. Its expensive to buy it all at once but it lasts like 2 months. When we get home I usually cut up whateve we got and package it in seperate ziploc bags.
We do exactly the same Costco really does have a great meat selection.

awww youre not old. Yeah even though dh lived a few blocks from 84, he went to PS.2 and then did the gifted program at IS 122 and then went to catholic HS. I did all the typical schools for those who lived right around that ditmars area lol
