Where's our Marriage Certificate?

Anyone know how long it's supposed to take? We got married on May 30 - that's a month and a half ago almost!

I agree. We had ours back within 2 weeks. Check with the person that married you - it was his/her responsibility to send it in.

Ours took about a month. Call the church/temple and make sure it was sent out and then I would call the town to check up. Don't worry-you're definently married!

They lost mine. The Town Clerk's office called my job while I was on my homeymoon to say that they hadn't received it in the mail from the church. I had to go down and file another one and my MOH had to go down and sign it as a witness (they said they only needed one signature). Figures..my luck they would lose my marriage license!

you know, i am glad i was not the only one!!

I still haven't gotten mine after a month also. The people at the manhasset office (one REALLY nice guy who audibly sighed after my having the audacity to ask him to check the status of my certificate - SO glad I pay taxes grr) - say it will be another week or 2 till i see mine.

I also had a snafu where the preist forgot the date (2004 year somewhere), so they had to send it back to him, he had to return it.... so you know it probably takes them a week to open any mail, etc...

Call the clerks office and get the scoop!

I had mine back in two weeks. But just remember May is a popular wedding moth so maybe they are a little backed up!! I'm sure you'll get it soon. Maybe give a call to the church or town hall to check up on it for your own sanity!!
