I love my new last name. When I was younger I used to beg my mom to change my last name to her maiden name because I liked it better than my maiden name.I would tell my mom that I was going to marry someone with an Italian last name because I liked them (of course that was before I knew that people married for love). When I started dating DH, (who is 100% Italian with an Italian last name) my parents knew this was it.
It was a total coincidence, but I still like it

I hyphenated and DH could give a crap less.
its funny, his family is better about using my hyphenated name (on cards, mail and stuff) than my family who flat-out give me his last name on things.

I liked my maiden name because it started with B and I was always first for class pictures my hair was perfect. My new name starts with an M so I feel bad for my future kids they will have bad hair in all their yearbook photos. Other than that I don't mind people always butchered my maiden name it is very uncommon. My new name is pretty common and most people (telemarketers aside) can pronounce it correctly.

I'm torn. I like the way my name and maiden name went together. It had a ring to it.
I like my married name just bc it's a nice Italian last name. It is SO hard getting used to it though AND I have to tell people how to pronounce it. I am so used to having a simple last name.

I never really liked my maiden name, and I like my new married name, but I dont like that its as long as my first name. My maiden name is very short - but thats the only thing I miss abt it!

My maiden name by far!!! I miss it.... I went from a very Irish name (my parents are from Ireland) that was easy to say and spell to a VERY Italian name that is so obscure, no one pronounces it right, even though it's only 5 letters! I am still working on getting it right all the time too!!!
I suppose i'll get used to it, but i have to admit, i don't really like it.

ME TOO!!!! When ever I introduce myself to people....I still say my old name! I'm getting better....but a little to slowly for my husband!
I hate to say this ....but I loved my maiden name!

I didnt change officially to my new name as of yet, as we need it to remain the same until after our Cruise in Sept for passport reasons, but I did change all of my credit cards to the new last name, it rather cool feels like a totally different identity. Some of our friends and family will address as our new last name, trying to be cute. Love the new last name though it goes very well with my first name

I still haven't gotten used to it yet. It's longer than my maiden name and has a 'z' in it (Which I can't write in script ) I like it though. I hated my maiden name and wanted to change it since I was little.

I have to admit I miss my maiden name and I'm not too crazy about how my new last name sounds with my first name, but I guess I'll get used to it over time...how much time I don't know lol

I love my new, all-American married name, plus now my initials are RR (we sign off with initials on everything at work).
Let's just say my maiden name was the same as a character on the Addam's family, so I was happy to see it go.

Def. my maiden name. With a first name like LeShelle (though everyone here's Michelle) I was going through life with my last name as my saving grace. Very easy, impossible to mess up, but now i have a very polish name that doesn't sound like the way its spelled. So now I have two difficult names.

I didn't change mine but people still instist tha I am Mrs Adam ______. That drives me insane. I wouldn't mind if they used my first name and his last but I have an identity and am more then just my husbands wife. Sorry I am a little bitter these days. I don't mind for people that don't know better but family should know better. They just don't respect my decision. but to answer the question i like my maiden name better

A lot of our wedding cards, etc., were addressed that way, and it didn't bother me, as I know they didn't know. But in future, I will correct them once. Maybe twice, depending on the person. After that, I'm not responding. Because unless it's someone with a memory issue, they're not taking you seriously, and I won't put up with that.

My maiden name just flows so sweetly with my first name.. I swear I think I am stalling on changing to my married name bc I am just attached to MY name!!!! lol I asked DH if he's want to change to my name instead and that didn't fly so well..

I'm not too crazy about either last name. They're both easy names but I don't like the way either o them sounds, especially with my first name. I'm sure it could be worse though!
