I have to start packing tonight for our trip. I am already dreading it. 2 suitcases is not enough room for all of my shoes and clothes that I will never wear anyway.
I am jealous of DH he has in his suitcase about $300 worth of Abercrombie and Fitch sweatshirts that our friends asked us to bring them (I would rather sell it out of the trunk of our rental car). All his clothing and 2 pair of shoes.
Men have it so easy in addition to the world being their toilet the term comfortable shoe is meaningless to them all of their shoes are comfortable. They don't have to pack trousers according to what boots they plan on wearing no matter what shoes they wear the length will always be correct. They have it so easy I may just take up wearing pajamas in public.
In other news my friends told me my new comfortable flats look Amish ah well I don't care I'm still wearing them.

Where are you going anyway? Is it anywhere fun??? My inlaws are a HOOT they stayed out ever night til 2am or later for 2 solid weeks when they were here!!! Sadly they are in Ireland so we dont see them too much :( I beg to differ, anywhere I go that has no cubicles is definitely a vacation...
We are going to Ireland DH is the only one who moved here when I adopted him so he is a big baby and has to see his family. We will be splitting the time though between his parent's house, my aunt's house and our friends' houses.
One night we are going to Dublin to see Christy Moore in concert and to stay in the Clarence Hotel. It has been my dream to stay in this hotel for years. We won't even be checked in for a full 24 hours but the 10 hours will be enough for me When he booked the room Bobby told them it was our 5th wedding anniversary The hotel said they would give us a basket can't wait to see what they send us.

Woah - what's up with your friend's anti-amishisim?? I, for one, love amish shoes. I had a pair of maryjane shoes that looked amish. i wore them until the soles fell off back in the day when I did not realized that you could have soles replaced.
I also had pilgrim shoes back in college. They were sort of like amish shoes but they had a buckle on the front. Also, very comfortable and super freaking hot if you asked me.....
Do your comfortable Amish shoes look anything like these shoes here?? Also, are you getting a self-propelled scooter to match them?

darn...resizer...hold on..
wait, think i got it...
My shoes actually look nothinglike that. Shoes my nanny owned on the other hand did look like those.
I used to watch a show about amish kids who live non amish for a couple of months then they have to choose if they want to leave their community and never contact anyone ever again or continue to be amish. I never saw the last episode so i'm not really sure what happened
Maybe we should take a day trip to Pennsylvania and buy real amish shoes then i will give my friends a point of reference for the next time they want to make fun of me.
