My sister in law and brother in law are also looking- and trying to sell their condo. So far they havn't found anything, but I think they are only looking in Oyster Bay, so they have limited themselves. But they are not in a huuuge hurry either. Anyway, best of luck with your search. Im sure it is annoying and stressful- but will totally eb worth it in the end!!!!

AWWW, do not stress about it. it is actually fun, before dh and I decided to build I really enjoyed meeting with realators and going through homes. so enjoy it,

we're in the process of selling our condo and buying a house. we put our condo on the market in july, and are set to close in about 2 weeks. we started going to open houses as soon as we put our place on the market, then started seriously looking once we accepted an offer and were in contract. by going the open houses we were able to find out what style houses suited our needs best, what areas we liked/disliked.

we originally had over 10 neighborhoods we were considering, then narrowed it down. it was very important for us to be close to family. we are now about to go into contract for a house in east meadow. it's a long tiring process. there were days when i'd get really disappointed, but things have turned out OK so far - except for the rising mortgage rates

Wondering about everyones experience since Im startting tomorrow. Well sort of. We started in Hoboken, and Brooklyn and looked at tons there but this will be our first HOUSE hunt!!!!! Im already stressed

We recently bought a house in Wantagh. It was a short sale, so the process was a bit tedious and draining. But, I do love it, so in hindsight it was worth it.

We're selling a condo in Hoboken though!!!

I was looking back in 1999. Now that was a tough market - - if a house was on the market longer than 1 week it was - - what's wrong with it or it was way overpriced. took me a year to fing mine and by then prices were going up by $10,000 or more per month. but prices were bargains then - - and silly me i thought I was buying at the peak!!!.

we have to sell or co-op in queens first but we're looking in east meadow, massapequa, plainview, syosset, I think that's it. It is so hard

We are in the process of closing on our 1st home in Oyster Bay...although after this wedding i hope we can still afford it :)

DH and I bought our house in Island Park last December. As much as I hate having more to clean, it really is just such a better idea than renting.
