Why is there 51 views and 2 comments!!! Am I the only person who can't narrow down these photos? I am tempted to call LIA out of desperation!!!!

How did you narrow down your proofs!!!

We have about 200-250 (out of 600) left selected and have difficulty narrowing it down from this point onwards.

Should we call Lia for suggestions or what can we do to eliminate (we have the standard 40 page album and plan to do some composites)?

Im not an imagine bride but Im sure Lia will be able to help you whittle them down. If anything, its better to come in with too many than too few..that way you give her the most flexibilty to put together something that flows nicely.

Lia helped me narrow some down but I was a bad bad girl and made tons of composite pages. I have over 100 pictures on about 46 pages.

Our album was supposed to be 43 pictures. My DH wasn't about to let me go nuts either!! We each took the proof book (at seperate times) and wrote down the pics that we wanted. We compiled the list and it still came out to way too many . When we had the meeting to pick out our album, she helped us VERY much!! They know what they are doing, you just go with a general idea and they work with you. We ended up picking 53 It's not easy

Betty, How many photos did you bring to the meeting (before narrowing down to 53)?

We actually brought the whole book We just set our minds to it and did it b/c we didn't want to wait and think about it forever. We figured we have the proof book to look at anyway. Let me tell you, I haven't looked back or thought about it since

Was that closer to 100, 200, 300?

Well the first time it was close to 200. Then we kind of narrowed it to about 140.....then down even more. Pick out the ones you LOVE THE BEST and try to tell a story with your pictures. They will definately help you out. Just put a # in your head that you don't want to go over (and then if you go over by a few it's OK) Just watch b/c it gets REALLY expensive!!

Alina, we brought everything but we only picked from our favorites to make up our album. She will spot things that you did not and that will help to eliminate. Fret not she will help you, be prepared to be there for 4 hrs. It takes a little while. To let it flow and to eliminate dupes, etc, etc, etc. You will be fine.

I used Imagine also, but I haven't done my album yet. I remember Lia telling me to narrow it down to around 100-150 and then she would help us choose from there. Good Luck.

I had WAY to many photos. But Lia & I went through then & was able to cut them down. She's used to it don't worry!!!

One way is to take a step back for a few weeks. You can ask Stef- I had sooooo many more photos when I started the process than I do now. You start to see the duplicates, the ones that you like but don't really 'speak' to you, the ones that you just love and HAVE to include in your album. If you do not look at them for a few weeks they seem to get rid of themselves.

Also, the photographers can help you see why certain photos belong in an album and others just do not match the feeling of your album.

I have no idea how many pics I picked out at first out of 1000, I had pu post its on them in the album...


then pulling them out I made decisions...and I pulled out just over 100...then my sister made me realize that this is a book of you and DH...not your friends and family (while yes...you want them in the album....you need to be the focus.) - so make sure the majority of the photos focus on you...

Lia will definately help you. I think we did a larger album than 40 and we added a few and did a few composites. Lia definately helped narrow down the choices and had great suggestions all around.
