NEVER- Brian picked my ring out all on his own and with the money that his father left him when he passed away! It DEF has way too much sentimental value to ever change it!! BUT maybe one day I'll get me a big @ss right hand diamond ring

I don't have the actual ring that DH actually proposed with. It had a pave band & 3 diamonds fell out with 3 months. Some of you may remember the story from last april.
So WE went together to the jeweler & exchanged the ring for a new one. The one I have now is slightly larger than the original ring but not by that much. DH wanted to get a bigger stone then but we couldn't afford it with all of the wedding expenses (we got married only 8 months after being engaged) & I told him it was not necessary. I am not a flashy kind of girl anyway.
That being said, this is the ring that was on my hand when we go married & I would not trade it or change it for the world. I'd rather him buy me a whole new ring, like an anniversary band that I can wear on my right hand.

i would never change a thing!! i love my ring more than anything, and he picked it out... its very special!!
ITA! If I changed it, it would be a differnet ring, not the ring he proposed to me with.

This is going to sound so selfish....but yes. DH went for quality over size when he picked my ring, but I feel like he went a little too small. Dont get me wrong, I love my ring....but one day when we have money, I'd love to upgrade the center stone. NOT the band...ever. I love my setting soooo much I would never change it.

I will have to say no. DH worked very hard in finding something that I would love, he knew the style I wanted and he picked the stone too-all by himself. My ering has sooo much meaning to me that I dont think I could give it up.

yes - i got really lucky - Dh picked it out - i got a stone with near perfect clarity and it was a nice size too i would never change it !

Not in a million years. My stone is a symbol of my husband's love and commitment. He used his inheritance from his grandmother and money saved from hard work to buy me my ring and I adore it and what it means. To each their own, but as far as I am concerned, this is my stone and no other stone will have the same meaning to me. JMO of course.

i am all about the right hand ring!! but would never change my e-ring or wedding band!

I love my ring... I wouldn't feel it was the same ring with a bigger stone... Granted, I would love a Hope Diamond..

to each their own--but i will never ever ever understand the concept of 'upgrading' your ring. to me the e-ring that my DH gave me when he proposed....is something sacred. i would never want to show my e-ring to my kids in the future and say 'well this is mosty the ring your dad proposed with....but i wanted to go bigger and changed it a little bit'. no way---and i know that some ladies say they want to go 'bigger' when they are more finanically secure and such. but i will take great pride in showing my ring in 20 years and saying 'this is what he gave me....nothing more, nothing less...it is what he could afford....he saved his hard earned money to do it---and worked his asss off to give it to me.....and i am PROUD of it!'
We've had this discussion many times and I think it is the ONLY thing we have 100% in common.. I TOTALLY agree. I'm overly sentimental

on 2nd thought... even if the ring were a sh1tty *** ring with a dirty diamond, I still wouldn't change it. My choice has nothing to do with quality/size and EVERYTHING to do with the promise and commitment behind it.

I don't see the need to eventhough my DH has already talked about it. He went above and beyond custom making my beautiful ring with a jewler in the diamond district . DH even traveled out of Manhatten to a couple of jewlers when he was searching. I would rather he focus on a new piece of jewlery or a vacation instead .
