Would you trade in your e-ring?

Would you trade in your e-ring?

My husband told me he was trying to win me some $35000 ring for a fraction of the cost and it had a bigger rock than my actual ring with side stones and all. well, he wasnt able to get it but he asked me if he had would i have traded it in? I said ...absolutely not! there is no way i would ever change the ring he chose for me or trade it for anything else! there is too much meaning behind it and i could never part with it. How do you ladies feel about trade-ins?

No way, never. The meaning behind it is too important to me. He picked it out himself and I will keep it forever!

Id take both. Why throw one away? Honestly, if we won it Id probably sell it and use it towards something more important.

A friend of mine has upgraded her stone twice already! I could never do that. The diamond my DH bought is exactly what I always wanted. My sister just had her e-ring reset after 17 years as her Christmas present and it looks amazing. I might do that way in the future.

I would change my setting maybe.

I have a plain solitaire; I have mentioned perhaps turning it into a three stone or something. I would never change my wedding band, though.

I would never. My DH put some much time into finding the perfect ring and stone. That means so much to me.

NOT A CHANCE!!!!!!!!!!!! my e-ring has enormous sentimental value. I wouldn't trade it in for anything.

now if DH decided to buy me a bigger diamond somewhere down the line for an anniversary or something, I would be fine with that

but I would never trade in what I have now.

I agree--I would take another but I would never give my ring up!

My sister has been married for the same amount of time as yours. She also recently reset hers. She kinda had to. The old one was yellow gold and the metal was wearing down on the bottom. And the prongs were bending.
