Sounds totally rude...i think i would feel the same way.

If she was a good friend I might tell her that her comments really hurt your feelings - particularily now its clear she changed her mind.

But it really depends on the frienship. It might be better just to say nothing.

She just sounds completely self involved. MAybe as the planning continues, she will be too busy to hang out with you. You can hope....

Oh now I get it!!! When she wasn't engaged big weddings sucked!!! Now that it is happening for her it is the way to go!! Sounds like she was jealous. I totally would downplay her plans for the wedding and act bored if she wanted to talk about it.

I have a friend who basically did the same thing. She didn't attend ANY of my showers (bridal or baby) and did the same thing to other mutual friend's because she didn't 'believe' in them. Meanwhile, she got preggo and BAM! She's planning her own shower, etc. I didn't go, not because of spite (although it was definitely on my mind) but because of other committments but from what I hear from other's that were there, it was a bitter pill for them to swallow because she expected EVERYONE there for her and she acted all stand offish about people who didn't come. Some people just don't get it...

I agree - I would say something to her about how she has changed her mind all of a sudden and why isn't she just going down to the courts since it is just a piece of paper.
