Your favorite weekend getaway - poll

Hey there! Looking for some suggestions for weekend getaways, trips, bed-and-breakfast type things, perhaps in the new england states or out east.

Have you been some place for short trip that truly was wonderful? thank you.

DH and I LOVE the Killington/Woodstock area in Vermont. It's not too far away and there are plenty of things to do. There's a great cheese/maple syrup farm called Sugarbush that has the most amazing cheese!

I gained 10lbs on our Honeymoon from eating too much VT cheese, maple syrup, fudge...

Anyway..... VT is my recommendation too. I suggest Manchester Village area. Great outlet shopping if you want and tons of cute local shops.
Food up there is FABULOUS!!!

DH and I are going to a log cabin Woodstock (NY) this weekend for my birthday. Can't wait to get out of the 'city' and relax!

Please don't laugh, but before my husband and I were married we went to this awesome B&B in Intercourse, PA called the Intercourse B&B Suites. It was beautiful - about 4 hours away in Lancaster County.

That's good to know. DH's family invited us to go there between Christmas and New Years. I don't really like to ski so I'm glad there are other nice places to go.

I love going to Newport and Cape Cod.

When we lived in Buffalo we went to Niagra Falls and Niagra on the Lake just about every weekend.
We also did D.C. in about four days, it was beautiful in May.
