Re: your thoughts on a male OBGYN.....
I've only gone to a women and I am happier with that... but I have heard women say they would only like a man. so i guess it just depends on preference.

I had a WONDERFUL male OBGYN when I lived on LI. Then he married my cousin, which was weird at weddings & funerals.

Ive been to both and I prefer a female. Yes male doctors may be more gentle and stuff but a man is still a man and it just makes me uncomfortable. But everyone is different.

Re: your thoughts on a male OBGYN.....
I've never gone to a female OB-GYN so I can't really comment on that, but I've been seeing the same male doctor for like 10 years now and he's great. I'm just so comfortable around him that I have no reason to switch. Personally, as weird as it may be, I'm just more comfortable with a guy.

Re: your thoughts on a male OBGYN.....
I have a male one and I love him. He's very gentle, always answers my dumb questions and a genuinely nice guy. I needed birth control STAT when I came home for school for good and he was the first available gyn at the first office that took my insurance lol. I was a little weirded out by a guy but I figured I could always change later if I hated him. When I was in college I insisted on only seeing a woman. Now though since I have a great fit, I'm happy. I really hope when I switch jobs they take my new insurance.
I always think it's funny how DH reacts about the whole going to the ob/gyn thing. I think he's a little annoyed that I go to a guy lol...however if I went to a woman I know he'd be like omg that's so hot so go figure. Which reminds me of the Scrubs episode where Elliot is giving a patient a pelvic exam and the patient comes.
