Our wedding is 3/27/04.

So far we booked our church and hall (The Meadow Club in Port Jeff).

I already received our unity candle which I ordered on-line.

Also spoke with the florist but did not book yet.

Hi BikerChick! My wedding is the day after yours!!! March seems to be for a lot of brides on this board. What vendors are you using? Hows everyones planning going?

We're in the process of picking the photographer and video. For photos we're probably going to go with Patken and we might go with them for video too. But we're going to look around before we make the video decision.

There is nothing new to report. I have been just looking at dresses for me and my BMs. I know what kind of dress I want (I saw it in the window of the Bridal Shop), I just need to go in and try it on. I figured that I would start going to Bridal Shops in March or April of 2003. The only new thing we have done so far is make the copies of our engagement picture for our family and friends. What is everyone else up too?

Here is my update: We booked Bellarino last night, I tried on dresses on Sunday b/c there was a gown I had tried on with my best friend. It was the fifth gown I tried on Sunday and when I had it on I didn't get WOWED and I didn't feel like WOW this is it anymore. So needless to say back to square one! I suggest not visiting more than one place in one day. I was at Lillete's for 2 hours and I was ready to fall over from exhaustion. After a while I wasn't seeing straight everytime I had a new gown on.
We are booking VIP Friday.

Wanda: Congrats on booking Bellarino (I'm trying to get an appointment with them for Saturday) and VIP. That must be a huge relief!
As for the dresses, don't get discouraged. You will find something. And since we have time, you don't have to settle!

I haven't done anything new except start to look at djs and for my dress. I found THE one at the first place I went to. I knew as soon as I had it on. My mother would like me to check other places before buying it, but I think thats a waste of time b/c I know that will be my wedding dress. Any suggestions? Should I follow my mom's advice or go with my gut? Other than that, I haven't done anything else. I have one more appointment with a dj and then I will decide. I am doing this by myself and it is exhausting, so I am taking my time, which seems to be running out!

I would say to stick with the dress you love. But I second guess every decision I make so don't go based off of me. I made the mistake of trying on others before showing my fam the one I was in love with. To find out I didn't like it too much after all after comparing it with others. I see this being the biggest decision for me. I loved two dresses but I wasn't fully impressed. BTW my mom said the same thing to me as did everyone that was with my that day!

I would suggest using one month to book say photography. The next month video, and so forth. That is what I have been doing. Video and photography I started seeing at the same time towards the end of this month because some photographers have the video packages. It doesn't seem so overwhelming for me to do it that way.

So far I have booked my hall and church. Right now I'm looking at bands. I pretty much know who I'll be dealing with re: flowers and photography. I'm going to start looking at dresses next year. I can' t wait!

Anything new girls? We booked our limos this week (Coachman) YAY!! Another thing off the list!! We're taking this weekend off (LOL) and then we're going to start meeting with DJs.

I have not done anything new. I am just waiting for March or April to start looking for dresses. I have a ton of pictures of dresses that I like. I can not wait to go and try them on.

Hey there! I've booked the place and have appointments w/2 photographers, one of them being Patken based on everybody's recommendations. Also have an appointment with the band that the place recommended. Other than that, already registered at three places. I think I'm going to wait until the early spring for the dress and flowers.

Lisa: Where are you going to go to look at the dresses? There are so many places out there. I know I'm going to to Flowerama Bridal Plaza because a girl that I go to school with works there, but I don't know where I should go next.
