Thanks for your advice! You were all right! I am over it. I am so happy for her, and a little jealous, but I know we made the right decision with the date so I am fine now.

Mims: Congrats on your dress!! It is beautiful! And for anyone else who wants to start looking, go ahead! I ordered my dress last month and my wedding is in May '04. I knew it was the one for me and I ordered it to be safe from it getting discontinued. Most of the places you go to will help you and if they say something about being too early, you don't have to go there. I plan to start looking for bp dresses in the spring.

Billysbride: I have the same flutes! I love them! I didn't know there was a matching cake server set! Please let me know where I can get it!
BTW, who buys the unity candle? I saw a beautiful one this weekend and want to go get it, but I am not sure if I buy my own or is someone else supposed to? Well, Happy Holidays!

I'm an 04 bride! Hi everyone!

I haven't read this entire post, but I am in a bit of a panic since I have done nothing in terms of booking a hall, looking at gowns, anything - and you guys are so up on everything!!

We're meeting with a priest in January at my family's church in Brooklyn, and soon after we may book Bargemusic for our reception. Am I woefully behind?

Cluelessbride, don't worry, some of us are a little bit ahead of the game! You really do have some time. My best friend is planning her wedding for next November (03) and she has done nothing but book the hall.
One disadvantage is that now I have 22 months to think about how I will look in my dress!!! TORTURE!!!

Don't worry!! Like Meghan said, some of us are ahead of the game! Just remember the longer you wait, the less choices you will have ya know? But I just booked everything because I knew what I wanted!! Good luck & post whatever questions you have and we will help!! Or try to at least!

Hi ladies
I am at work and just stopping in to say Hi.

FI is doing his christmas shopping for me today. He didnt know what to get me so last night as I was taking my jewelry off I looked at my precious moment figurine that my grandmother gave me a few years ago and I said to him lets start a tradition, every year for christmas you get me a new presious moment figurine this way when we're like 60 I can say to our grandchildren every year since we were engaged for christmas I got a new figurine. He smiled. So he is getting me a presious moment figurine but I dont know which one. I love those things. I cant wait to get my curio cabinet. I just cant seem to find the one I want. I collect 'Melissa' dolls, Winnie The Pooh Dolls (made by ashton drake collection) and now my collection of presious moments. I have about 4 'Melissa' dolls including a Melissa Bride doll that I found a few years ago (I wasnt even engaged but it was my name sake so I had to buy it)

So until I get my curio my dolls are in there boxes in the closet and my presious moments are on the dresser.

Not much else going on.

Testarossa19: I bought my flutes at Century 21 and I bought the matching cake server last night there also. For $24.97. As for the unity candle there is a matching one also from Lenox, also in Centuries, but I didn't buy it. Maybe you can register for that type of stuff. I'll try and post the cake server.

clueless, what church are you getting married in Bklyn? I live in Bklyn and are getting married in my church in Bklyn. Also, most of us are ahead because like was mentioned we found what we wanted so just decided to book it. If you have any questions about anything just ask. We are all willing to help & give advice.

Chippa, I like precious moments too. When I got engaged two of my friends brought me engagement precious moments and my sister has already brought me two wedding precious moments.

Melissa that is a great collection & tradition! I need to start one of my own. We did say that every year we will have a big vacation. With kids and all. We haven't had one since last year and we are in withdrawal.

We're going with very different cake cutter and server as well as toasting flutes. For the cake cutter we are having a blue and white cutter with a harley davidson charm hanging from each. for our flutes, he wants goblets. so we've been looking all over for specific types of goblets. he also wants to get his guys goblets as there gifts.

Lisa, I love the way those sound. Those must be so cute. I really like the way the one with the girl on the couch and the boy on his knee. That has got to be the cutest one.

I wish I would have known about the one with the girl showing off her ring. That one I know he would go crazy looking for to get me.

I have seen a lot of married ones so I told Brian Christmas 04 I want the married ones. He laughed!

I am out of here in exactly 6 minutes. So just fixing up and getting out of here. Have a wonderful holiday ladies and in another week it will be 2003 and we will all be hitting our 1 year from this day is my wedding. Yea 2004 brides

Chippatrid, that's a great idea to collect precious moments every Christmas. I collect a little bit of those angels (I guess cherubs) that they sell at the Hallmark stores (of course I can't think of the name right now). But, I have no room for any of this stuff of course, so it's been tricky.

I LOVE PRECIOUS MOMENTS! My dad has given my mom one every year also--although the past few years he has stopped becuase she has no more room for them!! Plus I think she has everyone ever made!! I think I will ask FH for that engagement one for Valentines DAY! LOL Look @ me -talk about Vday! LOL Christmas isn't even over yet! haha
I loved what you said Chippatrid about all of uf 04'brides hitting our one year mark!! Although I have some more time than some of us!
