Hi Marcela and NYlisa - I'm getting married at St. Mary Star of the Sea on Court Street in Carroll Gardens. It's not my parish, but it was my family's church for years. I can't wait to get the ball rolling!!

My christams was really good. FI and I did breakfast with my parents, and open gifts with them. Parents are the best, I got clothes and a new jacket from them. then went to Brooklyn to his dad's family for dinner. That went very well. His mom and dad are divorced, his dad remarried and has 2 children and we were hanging out with them all night. (His sister is 18, and his brother is 16) We had a great time. His sister and I have the same birthday, and she got me a beautiful ruby (our birthstone) and diamond necklace. I was so surprised. His dad and his wife got me a lenox 100th anniversary teddy bear, and a lenox vase. His one aunt got us glasses. I also got candles, lotions and some other small stuff. FI was so upset I got all the cool stuff and all he got was a shirt and a gift card. He is so silly.

Before we knew it 10:00pm was rolling around and we were still hanging out in Brooklyn at his aunts. We finally left at about 11.

We had a great time. Today I am in work and soooooooooo tired. I couldnt even get up this morning

04 brides as of next week one more year to go till 04. It will be here before you know.

Wacky, last night at my FI's aunts for dinner someone said to me wow 2004, thats a year away. Less then a year and half to the wedding. (Sept 18, 2004) Oh how exciting.

I was on 10 second delay when she said a year away in my head i was like no its 2, but it finally clicked 2003 will be here next week.

I know we are at the 18 month mark...time is flyin by. I can't believe that christmas is gone already...
I gave my FH is engagement gift...a Movado watch. He loved it. I put it on Kermit the frog's arm (from Macy's) and put it in a box...He was so suprised. That made my christmas.

I cannot believe how fast the time has gone by! On February 16, NYLisa and I will celebrate our one year anniversary of being engaged!!!!

WOW its getting closer for us ladies...
Its exciting isn't it??? As of 1/5 it will be 14 months till our wedding...

I was just talking to a friend I havent spoken to in a long time and he is getting married next Aug 2003 and we were having wedding talk and he was like before you know it 2004 will be here. Time is going to fly.

We were talking about vendors and little wedding details and he said believe me 2004 will be here really fast.

No I can't Peter and I are leaving on 1/11 for a week vacation in the Poconos, PA.

Hey Marcela, have a great time! My FI and I have gone to that area for a few years now. Are you going skiing? We usually go in the summertime (we don't ski though it always looks fun but I'm such a klutz I would not last).

How was everybody's holiday? I did nothing these past few days, it was actually really nice. Just watched TV. I've seen Divorce Court, Texas Justice, People's Court, Judge Joe Brown. I'm court showed out!! Of course, i'm supposed to be working from home today, so as you can see I'm doing really well with that!

My holiday was nice jess...I did the same thing...relaxed the whole time. I am still full from all i ate though...
so what did your FHs get you?
He gave me boots, a bag (with $ inside) and a beautiful xo bracelete(with hearts and diamonds) what a suprise.

My Xmas was very nice. My family and FI's family brought us things for our place when we get married.

Marcela, you are right. Do you believe in about 8 weeks we will be engaged a year already!!

Before we all know it, our day will be here.

Marcela where are you going in the Poconos? I love that area of PA. Haven't been there since.... Horrible I can't remember the last time!

My X-mas was nice. Same as usual.

We're going to go to the The Treetop Villas. It's about 10 mins from Shawnee. We've gone for the past 2 years and we love it. I got a whole week in a villa (3 floors, 2 bedrooms and a loft, whirlpool tub, a full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, living room, fireplace) for $260 through www.skyauction.com and last year we stayed in Shawnee in a villa also for $200. We got that through Skyacution.com also. You girls should check it out. It's a nice, relaxing cheap vacation.
Fh skis but I don't. Evertime I've tried I always ended up on my a** the whole time. So I'm not wasting the $$ this time. I do go snow tubing which is a lot of fun. Besides that we pretty much just relax. We stay in or go to the movies or go bowling, go to the flea markets. We always have a great time
