I already have my dress...I didn't wast any time. I absolutly love my gown...I haven't seen anything I love just as much...Its the best feeling when you know 'thats the dress' here is a pic I added thin beaded straps
I love that one. It dips down in the front, not the typical straght across. And I love the detailing at the bottom!!!

Re: 04 Brides
it seems like so many of the dresses are strapless and you need a chest to hold it up which I do not have. so it narrows it down a little but I am open to other styles

Re: 04 Brides
Actually, I heard the opposite. A smaller chest is better. There is no weight to move it down. It just needs to fit good. I nice bra will help too. Bring a good one with a little pad when you go to try them on.

I LOVE that dress Licia!! Mine is strapless, too.
I am small chested, and it looks great!!! (I know I posted already but I am gonna post it again cause I CAN!!! ) It DOES NOT have the button rhinestone things on the front. Just satin stripes

Re: 04 Brides
really? well maybe I will try one on. I just have this fear I am going to be worried the dress is going to fall down since they are so heavy. maybe I am just paranoid. It won't hurt to try one on

Re: 04 Brides
as long as the waist fits, it will hold up the dress. Sometimes the dresses have bones in them to hold the straight up. They used to be real bones in the past.

Re: 04 Brides
Beautiful dresses girls! I have to go get mine still, I'm thinking I'll go around March. It's funny, I never imagined I'd get a strapless dress, but the more I think about it, the more I think it might look the best.
I just want to welcome all the new girls! Wow, I missed alot. It's been busy at work so I haven't been able to post on the boards as much.
Is anyone watching the Bachelorette tonight? I am a reality show junkie (I know, I need to get out more probably!)

Re: 04 Brides
I miss so much by leaving work. LOL
The dress I want is halter. The designer is Ginza collection. There is a dress shop near me that carries the dress. I am going Feb 22 to the store. I cant wait. I am in love with this dress. I will try on other dresses as well, but I do hope this dress looks good on me

Re: 04 Brides
Hello all! It has been a few days, but I wanted to thank you for the advice on registering. I am only registering for some things now, and then the rest when FH gets home. We couldn't have an engagement party, so I am registering now so my family will stop bugging me about it! They say they feel bad because they haven't gotten us an engagement present yet because we aren't registered. So I'm doing it now. I will let you know how it goes! Those are beautiful dresses ladies! I wish I had a picture of my dress, but if I get one, I will post it. (if I figure out how to do it!) Anyway, has anyone booked a florist yet? I was thinking about starting to look, but when I called one by my house, he told me I don't have to do it until next year. I just wanted to get it done. Am I too early?

Re: 04 Brides
Robeymuse: I am small too. At first I thought I wanted an a-line because of my size. Then I tried a princess full dress and loved it! I was nervous to try full dresses because I thought I would look like a cake topper, but I fell in love! Definitely go with an open mind. I got my dress at Lillette's in Baldwin. They were great! They were so helpful and did not pressure me at all. The best was they cap the alterations. That's a good thing for us small girls. The smallest size the dress comes in I think is either a 2 or a 4, so I need alterations, alot of alterations, so capping works for me. If you are small, definitely go to a store that caps because it can be expensive!

Re: 04 Brides
I am so confused about photography. I have visited four photographers so far, but I am growing very frustrated. Two of the four are too traditional and a little boring in my opinion. The other two I like, but am not completely sure of! So the search continues! I want to have them booked my the end of Jan. Has anyone else had a hard time deciding on photography?

Re: 04 Brides
I have 2 appointments to go see photographers this saturday and I know it will definitely be a problem for us because FH is sooooooo picky with his photography. He always says that the black in the black and white pictures isn't black enough so he votes down the reasonably priced photographers but complains when he sees the prices of the ones he likes!! And we are on a very STRICT budget (I'm the budget nazi)!!! So believe me, I feel your pain!

Re: 04 Brides
Hi everybody!
Lauren, I booked my florist last weekend. It's too early to pick the actual flowers, but it's not too early to book. You do have time if you want it though. We actually booked everything so far, and the band we're booking hopefully this weekend. Everything is adding up - BIG TIME. It's funny, I never realized how much weddings are such big business until we got engaged and started looking.

Re: 04 Brides
Well to the board to the new members.
I haven't started looking for dresses or doing much of anything else either. My biggest concern was the reception hall. Everything else I'm going to wait a little while on.
Although my friends are pressuring me to try on dresses now.

Re: 04 Brides
EvenEdan, The photographer decision has been the hardest so far. Mostly because of price. I wish I looked into every vendor category before I booked the hall and band. I probably would've gone with a less expensive hall if I knew the photography was going to be so high. I lovecertain photographers, but you don't get much for the money, or the cheaper ones seam to limit you in some way. The more talented, the more expensive. I just might go with the upper-middle prices so I know I will get quality, without stressing out.
Being in the art/design fieeld makes things a lot harder. I am very picky!!!!
