Re: 06 Riviera Brides Thread
I guess the best way to keep it going is to post on it or bump it up every so often. I think that right now there are only about 6 Riviera 2006 brides.
What banquet manager have you been dealing with?

Re: 06 Riviera Brides Thread
I just edited my post above.. But I have been dealing with Victoria. We are having the ceremony there, and a 1 1/2 hr. cocktail hour. I just want no rain so we can have it all outside! I also have been trying to find a place to take pics before hand, besides $$$Old Westbury Gardens$$$. We are seeing each other before to take them, and I dont want to rush to do it all in the hall (front area, which i don't like so much anyhow) So i want a place that has inside and outside capabilities.

Re: 06 Riviera Brides Thread
My banquet manager is Michelle she is really nice as well. We are also having the ceremony at the Riviera and I am definitely praying for no rain.
I haven't requested Robert Jay yet, but I have heard so many good things about him.
We won't be seeing each other before the ceremony so we will most likely be missing a lot of our cocktail hour. Patken said that we would be able to catch at least 20 minutes of it. They are very familar with the grounds of the Riviera so I am happy about that. I loved their sample album that they shot at the Riviera.

Re: 06 Riviera Brides Thread
Hi Girls!! I am so happy to see other Riviera brides here and YEAH a thread for us too. Great idea! I have not coordinated anything with them so far. Should I be? I am just psyched and think everything will come together by then. I still feel like it is so far away but I guess time is going down. I want to call them for a taste testing soon, they said come in around April or May. Good Luck to all of you and hopefully keep this thread going! Cara

Me too!!!! Me too!!!!! I'm dealing with Victoria and I really want Robert Jay as my Maitre D... I'm getting married at a church, and them rushing to the hall for pics since the sun sets earlier in November... I'm soooo excited. Oh.. I had a tasting before we booked.... I wanted to know how the food was before we did anything.. And we have heard nothing but good things about their food since we booked...

Are any of you ladies planning on getting the chair covers? When I saw it set up for a wedding they had the chair covers and it looked beautiful. I know they are getting (or already have) new chairs. I saw a sample chair but I still want the chair covers.

Hi, Cool - a Riviera thread! I love Victoria - I'm planning from Seattle and she has been so helpful to me and my Mom who is helping me.
What's the story on picking the maitre'd? Am I way behind on this? Help!
Thanks!

The picture is from the NRC website, but the chairs are pretty much the same. The only thing that may be different is the seat cushion itself. The gold part of the chair is the same as the sample chair I was shown.

Does anyone know anything about the Riviera updating their cocktail room.... I haven't been there since October, but they told me they were thinking about redoing the cocktail room and extending it out....

I heard they were supposed to be doing that some time in early spring. The last time I was there was in February so that was before it was scheduled to be done.
