Hey Ladies! So i booked my wedding for November 3rd of 2007. I just booked it on May first. I'm so excited. I think the Riviera will look beautiful in the fall. I am having my cermony there too. So my BM is Michelle and so far she is great!! I havent thought about the Matrie'D, I guess cause its so far away, but everyone seems so pleased with Robert Jay, I'm going to HAVE to ask for him! Now, as of May 1st, Michelle said they have not started construction on the cocktail room, but she is almost positive it will be done by my wedding, she didnt want to promise I guess b/c if it wasnt I would be upset, but she sounded like it would start and be done soon. As far as the chairs, I do beleive they look like the picture shown above from the North Ritz Club. Just out of curiostiy, how many people is everyone having? I have a big concern of not having enough room, i know she said it fits 220 max i think and 195-200 comfortably, we would probably have about 175, do you think thats cutting it to close????? Has anyone visited Tims Florist? That is their reccomended in house florist and I want to see them but havent had a free moment, and I want to go in November to see whats out since I'll be getting married in November. Anyway... Congrats to everyone!! I'm so happy I found more Riviera brides!!

I'm only invited 150 the max, hopefully less but doubtful. I haven't visited Tim's yet. Melissa, you do have a lot of time!

Re: 06 Riviera Brides Thread
I'm inviting about 150 hoping to keep the number closer to 120. I didn't use their house florist I went with Laurie from LA Blossom and I'm really excited about how everything is going to look.

Re: 06 Riviera Brides Thread
I asked my Photographer about using 'house- Florist, DJ, or photographers' and he said that the list we get that the Riviera 'recommended' has to split profits with them. Like if we use Frederick Studios they have to give the Riviera half or a lot of the commission cause they recommended them. HUH? I did not know that one. Anyone going there for a taste testing?? I was told to call in May and arrange this. I can't wait to sample the food. I heard it is YUMMY!!!

Re: 06 Riviera Brides Thread
When I first went to look at the Riviera there was a couple there having their taste test. There was a wedding going on so they were in the office and one of the waitors brought in like seven plates of food. i've herd the food there is GREAT. i wont have to worry about a taste test for a while.. a LONG LONG WHILE...hehe. One of the girls I work with is getting married there next week, Friday, so as soon as I know I'll let everyone know how it went but so far she's been so so happy with them

Can you ladies add me to the list?
I was hoping they would renvoate the CH room, but if they haven't gone it already, I doubt it will be done in time for my date.
I will be using several of the recommended vendors - my opionion is, if a catering hall is willing to attach their name to a vendor, then they must have some credibility.

By the way, Lorraine (flowers by Lorraine) is amazing!!!
Which vendors of theirs are you using????
So far we picked Duet for Photo/Video, not one of their vendors, but I checked out two of their vendors for Photos, and was not impressed...

We are using Frederick Studios - I really felt very comfortable with him and I liked his work. I had seen about 4 other photogs and liked him the best.

I know Royalty is one of their house vendors. I believe Cruise Control is also. Royalty does give LIWeddings discounts.
