It took me 2+ months to find the one we all liked. Don't worry, it will happen.

Re: 06'ers who havent booked reception hall yet
I got engaged on 5/11 and still haven't found a place.
I'm leaning towards one but the fact that we wanted it in westchester or nyc, and the fact that we are looking at 75 guests makes it difficult. Many places dont want you unless you can assemble an army out of your guest list
Of course, ideas are always welcome!!

You are not alone. I never thought finding a place would be so stressful. I am looking in the Port Jefferson/Huntington area with a view of the water. So far I haven't found the right place for my small army of 200.

It takes time and if you are as picky as I am, it will take even more time. Have you checked out different websites that give you a breakdown or price pp, # of people the place holds? ALso another good way to narrow it down is location, Nassau, Suffolk, NYC, 1 wedding at a time or more than 1, if you narrow it down that way there will be alot of places that come off your list quickly.
Let me know if you need more help and good luck!

Did you try the Harbor Club in Huntington?

Yes, we looked there. I wasn't sure if they can comfortably fit 200? How many people are you having there?

Re: 06'ers who havent booked reception hall yet
It took us about two months to find a reception place...we didn't really look at a lot of places, but we had to agree on one. We were in a certain price range, so it made the looking a little bit easier.

Have you checked out Giorgios? Also Timber Point Country Club, or Bourne Mansion, Bellport Country Club, Lombardis on the Sound (PJ Country Club).

I had the same problem. Although I love the WM, I am not crazy about our reception room. I just had weigh out the pros and cons about the place and ended up booking WM.
