07'er Crashing - What was your Something Old/Borrowed

Hi Ladies,
Sorry to crash your boards. I am having trouble coming up with my Something Old and Something Borrowed. I already have my DOJ (FH bought it for me) so that's out. Maybe I can get some ideas from what you used. TIA!

My something old was a hankie that I had wrapped around the stems of my bok. It was actually the lace hat I wore home from the hospital when I was born - you undo a few stiches and it turns into a hankie for your wedding day. I give it to every little girl I know that is born and now write a note with it how I used it on my bok.

My something borrowed was my sisters amazing 13 carat tennis bracelet! I was sad to have to give that back!

old: a necklace of my mom's she had since she was a kid - I put it on my bo-k during the ceremony, and almost LOST IT when it fell off, but one of my BMs found it on the ground!!

Old and borrowed was a hankie my dad's mother had given my mother to hold onto on her wedding day, so my mother let me borrow it for my wedding.

my something old was my diamond tennis bracelet DH had bought for me for my birthday about 8 years ago. i couldnt think of my something borrowed so the morning of my wedding my one of my BM's said 'here's a dollar, you can borrow it. tuck into your bra and give it back to me later! '...it worked fine!

Something Old - My grandmother's diamond earrings that she left for me when she passed.

Something Borrowed - A handkerchief I borrowed from my mom that once belonged to my grandfather. I tucked it into my dress.

my veil was borrowed. My something old was my grandmother's ring from when she was a baby..it was attached to my bo-k

My old and borrowed was the same- an emerald and diamond ring that belonged to my best friend's mother. I cried when she offered it to me. My old was also a sapphire bracelet that my sister gave me.

This was also my something old, only DH gave me his (I did not have one but I used his and it had a really nice note that was attached for him to give to his bride one day)

My something borrowed was a pocketbook from my aunt that went perfect with my dress and my something old was my bracelet

My something old was the handkerchief my great grandmother carried on her wedding day and my something borrowed was my tiara and veil from my friend.

Something Old - A piece of lace from my Mother's wedding dress

Something New - was a Irish linen Hankerchief from my God Mother.

Something Borrowed - a picture of my parents on their wedding day in a frame tied to my Bo-k

Something Blue - was my garter.


I had a hard time with this...because both of my parents had passed away.

my something old was my money bag and the fabric that wrapped my flowers...both were made from my mom's dress

So cute he gave it to you to use! I forgot they make them for boys too to give to their future wife some day! I'll have to start giving it to little boys now too! The note that came with it is so sweet...my grandmother who passed when I was 2 yrs old gave it to me and my mom still had the card she wrote me in the box - it was so nice to see it!

my old was a hankie with a locket pinned to it from my grandma. my borrowed was a sapphire ring from my friend that fit the vintage theme of my dress.

old = one of my dad's old hankerchiefs

borrowed = my veil

Old: Was my grandmother's pearl bracelet.

Borrowed: Were my mom's pearl earrings and my sister's pearl necklace.

My something old was: my engagement ring, my mom's sixpense

My something borrowed: my mom's sixpense & a fur wrap from PIZZ2306 (never had to use it though)
