hi girls i wanted to know when you ordered your dresses ive been told that im WAY to early but i really wanna start looking incase it takes me a while to find the one.. please let me know if you think im way too early

well I havent actually ordered my dress yet. However, I was originally going to get married in 08 when I started looking for dresses (2yr in advance) then I changed my date. IMO I dont think its too early to start shopping and if you find something go for it :)

i ordered my dress exactly 1 year before my wedding this past June. Its never too early to start looking and get an idea of what you like and what looks good on you! GL

My wedding is one year from today and I just started looking. The only thing I would be afraid of when shopping to early is that your style or taste could change over the 2 years.

thanks ladies i really appriciate the advice im not worried about my taste changing in the next year and a half i think i've wanted the same wedding dress since i was 5... just im allowed to buy it now!!

It is a little early , but i ordered mine in June and it came in this month- about a year until my wedding! I think i jumped the gun a little, but I was sooo excited I couldn't help it

I got engaged last November and I just tried on my first wedding dress 2 weeks ago. I wanted to wait because of the different dresses that come out. Also, my own personal style changes over time as well. I would wait until next year to buy, but if you can't stand not to look, try some on!

thanks its nice to hear that im not going crazy i was told yesterday by bridal reflections in massapequa that im too early and they wont even make an apt for me to look untill oct of next year... please then i only have 9 months to find, order, and get all the alterations done. im only 5 foot tall. its going to be quite a project getting a dress to fit the right way!

I am ordering mine next month, which will be 11 months before the wedding. it takes 6 months to come in

Its never too early!! BUT just keep this in mind. I ordered mine very early.. I have since seen a few amazing dresses that came out.. I still love mine.. but I may have picked a different dress if I waited a little longer.. MAYBE

Its never too early-I would just be afraid I would see something that I wish I had the chance to try on. But I ordered my dress a few months ago and that stil hasnt happened!!!

The '07 dresses just came out last month, so you have a lot of time to order the one you like. I advise that you avoid placing the order TOO early... for the following reasons.. 1) your size may change.... and more importantly 2) your favoirte dress may change. I was certain I was going to wear a dress I found early this spring.... but after several months of looking at dresses online, I found one I like MUCH better...

Just make sure you know how long your current favorite dress will be available... Ordering 6-8 months ahead of time is more than sufficient...

my best friend already ordered her dress... shes not engaged yet. her reasoning was that she saw one she liked..so why not? worst case scenario is it sits around for a year or two!

Hi Megan!

I have less than a year and haven't even started looking. You do have plenty of time, but start looking whenever you want. Just avoid buying too early cause you may change your mind

I ordered in Aug 06 for a Nov 07 wedding.

I've had a dream dress in my head since I met my FH....the first time I saw that dress IN THE FLESH(!!!!) I knew I had to have it, so I ordered it.

I did some price shopping for a couple weeks, found the best one, and placed the order.
